    That's becoming a horrible assumption.

Drone and recording technology, ought to be logging the every move of officers these days.

Good guy or not though, periodic mental evaluations OUGHT to be something that firearms owners are subjected to.

Bowerbird, diagnosing someone you do not know from a article in the news? How kind of you.

GREAT! You put your finger right where the REAL problem with the gun culture is: I am told that, if there is more gun control, "only bad guys will have guns."

As you so aptly demonstrated. . . HOW DO WE KNOW who the "good guys" or "bad guys" are. . .and why are we so willing to put guns in EVERYONE'S hands. . .without KNOWING if we put them in the hands of a "good guy," a "bad guy," or a "good guy ready to snap?"

    Man!! You got it!!

I hope good common sense BREAKS OUT all over American culture in the coming years; especially where it concerns our gun-culture.

Seems to me your own post proved you wrong. Its a classic strawman. A "good guy" doesnt shoot a guy and his wife over texting unless he is a "bad guy". Obviously he was mentally unstable. What have you lefties done to deal with mental illness yet? Have any of you even posted a single mental illness thread to deal with the mentally ill who kill? or are you only concerned with mentally ill killers if they kill with a gun? If its just a gun, then it means your real motives are removing guns not solving the actual problem of innocent people being killed by people with mental illness. Also more innocent people died today from second hand smoke than any gun combination you can muster. Where is the mass lefty posts about those innocent deaths? Or is it just gun deaths you care about? Im guessing you could care less about innocent people being killed and you just care about removing guns from people because they represent the one thing that you detest the most.....Freedom.

Sorry Sadanie, Once you went down the road "I am told" tells me you lack critical thinking skills. I can not help you. You bring nothing to the table.

Really? You mean. . .you have not heard that saying? That "wonderful argument" for the reason we need to keep guns in every "good man's" hands?

I hope you realize that, whether or not you appreciate my contribution to this debate is pretty much a moot point for me (and for most people!), and that your opinion does in no way take away my right to continue expressing my opinion. . .no matter how "distasteful" it may be to you!

But we all know that, when one has nothing more to argue, it is so much easier to "belittle" others' arguments than to reply in a constructive manner!:wink:

There's much, much more to the story according to local freelance media stringers and eyewitnesses:

The couple was texting, chattering, laughing, giggling and being loud, obnoxious and defiant and may have been under the influence. When the old man asked them politely to tone it down a few decibels, the pair taunted him, ridiculed and made fun of and slurred his advanced age. When the husband stood up and dumped a tub of buttered popcorn over the old man's head, he pulled out a pistol and shot him.

Gasp! So it wasn't as simple and cut and dried as leftwingers were promoting it? Imagine my surprise!

This is the poblem when you have so many guns in the community. A 'good guy', no criminal record, always does the right thing just snaps because of society's pressures and instantly someone gets shot.

Maybe if I put you on 'ignore' (and that is in-progress), I'll be able to scroll to the reasonable commentary more readily.

Ridiculous. Everyone loves a firefight in a dark theatre. Only in Hollywood does the 'good guy' survive.

Thinking for oneself is a asset. When you say "You mean"? Please do not speak for me, I say what I mean between us with clarity. My position is firm. Contribution with this forum as moot or not has nothing to do with the subject.

Sadanie, I can not help you or need to, it has nothing to do with belittling.

Well obviously he wasn't. But these are the types who are in power that you and you're fellow gun grabbers want to disarm the American population against.

But this person never "claimed" to be a responsible gun owner, and even if/just because a person claims they're a "responsible gun owner" that doesn't mean they actually are.

Liberal Propaganda fail. This is just a shooting, one of many. Many of whom you could easily illustrate to be a "responsible gun owner".

The truth is, there isn't a responsible(or irresponsible) gun owner. There are ethical and unethical people and that is from which we should judge.

A gun is a weapon, and it can only be fired by human beings. Targeting gun laws is like treating the symptom, not the disease. Why is it that we're so quick to pull the trigger? Why are we as a nation obsessed with guns? One could point to the second amendment, but this isn't a constitutionally-crazy country per say(if it were, the Libertarians would be in power.)

No, I blame hollywood. Some might say that it's a cheap cop-out but it's true. How many violent mecha movies come out virtually every year? How much are we as a society espoused to violence, etc? A lack of a family culture, etc.

Laws aren't going to fix this problem, it's a people problem. It's an American problem.
