That Chief Negotiator works for the State. The teachers work for the state. Hence both sides are on the same side. Who is not on the side of "The State"? The people of "The State". That's why it's bad.

". . . All Government employees should realize that the process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service. It has its distinct and insurmountable limitations when applied to public personnel management. The very nature and purposes of Government make it impossible for administrative officials to represent fully or to bind the employer in mutual discussions with Government employee organizations. The employer is the whole people, who speak by means of laws enacted by their representatives in Congress. Accordingly, administrative officials and employees alike are governed and guided, and in many instances restricted, by laws which establish policies, procedures, or rules in personnel matters. . . . How about facts and not just a few people's opinions?

When I ask for supporting arguments, I am asking for facts. The left saying these things happening means nothing. The left says a lot of baseless things these days....they're called talking points and/or anecdotal evidence. You've got a professor saying it's happening (with no proof) and 1 former neo-nazi saying he was asked to go into law enforcement.

Yea, overwhelming evidence you have here.

He is still part of government and is biased toward government. With private sector unions negotiations are done from opposite sides. There shouldn't be public sector unions in the same way there shouldn't be management unions in the private sector.

This was an intelligence assesement by the FBI during the Bush Presidency, not an opinion piece from Don Lemon.

Who exactly are you accepting your truths from?

That's just crap. Everyone's well-being is in danger. Have you ever thought that perhaps we think just as highly of everyone. Yes, teachers need to be vaccinated. So do bus drivers and plumbers. The fact that teachers think so low of everyone else is telling. The teachers that have issues (high blood pressure, etc) need to be a higher priority, just like everyone else. Those who don't have problems need to go to work, just like everyone else.

Vaccinating the teachers will help protect the children from getting infected by their teacher.

    Data.

You had a professor's opinion backed by zero data. You had a single former neo-nazi who was simply asked to go into law enforcement. There was not a shred of data to be found. If it's so factual then you should be able to produce the data. You can't claim an organization has been infiltrated by a particular type and then have nothing to back up that claim. That's not how this works. Or is the left boycotting basic statistics now?

Why are you pretending you don’t hate ALL unions?

No, one is a union, the other is appointed by the duly elected governor, thus, representing the people.

Yeah. What were they thinking? All the time and recources wasted by our intelligence agencies to address the potential of white supremacy in our police force when they could have simply sent a questioniare directly to police and asked, Are you a white supremist? Yes or No.

That type of "data" would have shown the truth.

You seriously don't know the difference between a private and public union? Honestly, you shouldn't be in this thread until you do.

Private Unions - I 100% support their rights
Public Unions - Are an abomination

    Thanks for the hyperbole.

Most the teachers I know want back into their classrooms tomorrow, but the Unions won't let them for $ / political reasons.

I think unions are a perfectly valid thing to have when employees are being mistreated. Since I've worked in high tech all my life, I have not needed one and have only seen how unions severely hamper progress. I don't hate all unions though. I just think that they have/had their place and most aren't needed any longer. It does seem odd to me that the same people supporting unions also are the people supporting illegal immigration which I believe are exact opposite. I mean why hire a union concrete company to do your driveway when you can hire illegals to do it for half the price and usually better quality?

We’d prefer more legal immigration to illegal.

We'd prefer all legal immigration and no illegal. What's your point?

Share them. What you wrote is a lie.

The only union I have bashed is the one I was a member of in College (United Food Workers Union) that lied to me and screwed me over when I went to school in San Diego from the Sacramento area. I was specific to them and do not bash Private Unions as I see them as quite necessary if the workers want them.

Is that the dictionary version ?

Honestly you shouldn't be debating if your starting point is "they are an abomination"

did you read what I posted ? In my state, the Unions dont bargain with the legislators, they bargain solely with an appointee of the Governor.

how does a union make money to pay it's members? I always had thought that the members were paying the union.
