Oh good god almighty. Training sessions are not racist. Their entire purpose is to make sure that different people from different backgrounds work efficiently and effectively in said organization, as part of their internal stakeholders and with their external stakeholders in a global environment that is getting increasingly smaller. Corporations are private businesses and are not dictated by government. This is of their choosing, and all large and midsize corporations do this to one extent or another. At best, it is an hour or two of time to listen to a CBT course on the topic.

Even the Supreme Court decision on the affirmative action issues said it was not the ONLY factor.

LOL, that is not a study. It reviewed academic data but did not review actual court cases between various groups, their sentencing, and so forth. Racial disparities do exist, although there have been great strides not to call the justice system "racist." The study seems to reflect on wording from the academia, not the results in sentencing when the same crime, same background, and same criminal past are taken into consideration. For instance, an African American from a poor family and a caucasian from a poor family may have different sentence recommendations. The African American is charged with crime X, the same crime as the Caucasian. they both come from the same or very similar socioeconomic backgrounds, and no criminal past of them to consider in the sentencing. In the sentencing recommendation, the sentence will be either longer or jail time compared to the caucasian in most criminal jurisdictions. Such studies are reflected here and here.

Academia is not profit-driven since they are considered 501c3 organizations generally. Universities such as Devry and other for-profit universities are not what we call tier-anything, such as Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 research institutions. Whether they are private and religious, such as Liberty University to private nonreligious universities such as Harvard, to public universities. Their "product" is the degree you have. Get a degree from SMU in business, and you are pretty much assured a better job than graduating from a for-profit university such as Devry, junior college, . This is especially true with graduate degrees, which is where these universities receive their reputation. What they "sell" is also their student life. Texas A&M has a unique student life, and so does USC, Harvard, and even small, four-year liberal arts colleges. So do religious, private universities offer a unique lifestyle if one chooses. In terms of academia, large universities such as The Ohio State University, offer a plethora of degrees, concentrations, majors, etc. And then there is sports where some academia focuses on that. Nothing quite like experiencing a football game at Kyle Field and the 12th man, or the University of Michigan, or USC or UCLA, etc. Finally, they all compete with those high schoolers who in the top 1% or higher in their respective SAT/ACT scores, along with US military academies which generally, you must receive a congressional appointment to the academy to get in. They are highly competitive, and in return, if you are successful after graduating, then most offer willing donations to the university. I have with my two alma maters. One in bachelor's degree and one in graduate degree.

SAT/ACT scores is merely the beginning step for most of these universities. What these universities want is a well-rounded student. How to define a well-rounded student differs from one university to the next.

Nothing like guilty by suspicion written by a person who never obtained a Ph.D. program. Some think academia gives too many Ph.D. diplomas from everything from accounting to science to every discipline. But that is a different topic altogether.

Social justice my ass. Wokeness is the idea that we have to throw dog turds into the soup if they come from the garden.
It's one thing to persecute people who are lost in space, it's another to say we have to pretend they are normal and make their problems everybody's problem.
The people who think this way are doing their best to normalize abnormality, degrade the society to the lowest level possible so there are no meaningful standards at all.
They not only want to lower the bar, they want to bury it.

You are dealing with someone who wants popular speech to be supportive and who thinks anyone critical of him should be "taken care of." That is Trump's own philosophy, campaign stance, etc. This is not a joke or he is "joking." And posters like Zorro are eating this up along with the MEGA crowd, quite literally in one form or another.

I know what the definition means. It means, according to Webster's Dictionary, "aware of and actively attentive to important societal facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)." So, social justice is bad for conservatives like you. To give you examples of woke, the Woman's Movement in the early 20th century, the right for women to vote, was a "woke" policy and movement in today's terms So was the civil rights movement from the 1950s and onward, even today. So were protests after George Floyd and others who were killed by police unnecessarily.

The problem you guys have is you don't define it, just criticize it for political reasons because it does what makes you damn uncomfortable? Then you guys try to argue the "great replacement theory" as your defense even though no one is replacing you.

Hmmm. Christianity Today acknowledges that it IS a thing, and this is what they have to say about it:
Christian nationalism takes the name of Christ for a worldly political agenda, proclaiming that its program is the political program for every true believer. That is wrong in principle, no matter what the agenda is, because only the church is authorized to proclaim the name of Jesus and carry his standard into the world. It is even worse with a political movement that champions some causes that are unjust, which is the case with Christian nationalism and its attendant illiberalism. In that case, Christian nationalism is calling evil good and good evil; it is taking the name of Christ as a fig leaf to cover its political program, treating the message of Jesus as a tool of political propaganda and the church as the handmaiden and cheerleader of the state.

Webster doesn't know what it means along with you. Wokeness is leftist policies that fly in the face of common sense. These are things like allowing men to compete in women's sports and allowing open borders in order to import future democrat voters. I just defined it. I oppose it for reasons of common sense not politics. I don't know what a replacement theory is so I have no comment on that.

'“In recent years it has become common belief within the scholarly community as well as the general public that the criminal justice system is biased due to race and class issues. We sought to examine this with meta-analysis. Our results suggest that for most crimes, criminal adjudication in the US is not substantially biased on race or class lines,” professors Christopher J. Ferguson and Sven Smith of Stetson University found in a study to be published in the criminology journal Aggression and Violent Behavior and obtained by The Daily Wire.'

'“Overall, this is a cause for optimism,” researchers concluded—though their findings also called into question the honesty and rigor of the work conducted by race-fueled scholars, whose weaknesses were highlighted this month in former Harvard president Claudine Gay.'

'As a meta-analysis, the study did not create a new dataset on criminal sentencing and race, but rather examined 51 studies conducted by others looking at the question since 2005. The numbers suggesting no or marginal racial bias in punishment were therefore collected by the existing studies, but those authors often claimed to have found racial bias in their writings, even when their numbers did not back it up.'

“We express the concern that evidence for racial bias in the U.S. criminal justice system has been consistently weak, and that scholarly narratives have too often ignored this in favor of the systemic racism narrative,” Ferguson and Smith wrote.

And that's the issue. Too much academic dishonesty going on out there.

Of course, for EVERYONE and I don't want Jewish Students menaced by pro-Hamas thugs on US campuses. Is that a problem for you that Jewish Students aren't to be menaced on US Poison Ivy Campuses?

As for this vile POC that supports the murder and rape of innocent Jewish girls in Israel, I'm glad she is leaving, and if she was here on a guest VISA, I'd cancel it. Same thing with the students that menaced Jewish students on US campuses, and any professors that vocally supported the violation of Jewish student's rights. If they are here on Guest VISA's cancel them, inform them that they need to get the hell out of our country.

Delta Introduces New Short Plane for Special-Needs Pilots

'With increased scrutiny of late on airlines implementing DEI policies among crucial flight crew positions, the Atlanta-based airline giant took the unprecedented step of creating an entirely new model of aircraft to accommodate pilots who are either physically or mentally incapable of operating a standard aircraft.'

"This is a huge step forward for the retarded folk, er, I mean, the special needs community," said Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastain. "Those who are mentally and physically handicapped are severely underrepresented on our teams that operate multi-million-dollar aircraft and hold countless lives in their hands. Thanks to our new aircraft, no disability is too significant to keep someone from flying for Delta!"

    Nice!

"This new ‘Air Shortbus A330' is specifically engineered to meet the special needs of our new flight crews," said aerospace engineer Douglas Blank. "Wider aisles, super-tall toilets with handrails, and even a full-time employee in the cockpit at all times to shout ‘PULL UP! PULL UP! TURN! TURN! TURN!' to help impaired pilots. It's got it all."

    A Joe Biden Special!

Massachusetts Hospital May Deny Care to Some Patients in the Name of Inclusivity.

'Patients at a medical facility in Massachusetts will be denied medical care in the name of fostering a "safe, caring, and inclusive environment,” according to a new policy.'

'This ambiguous policy empowers doctors to deny care based on the interpretation of nonverbal communication, subjectivity that raises questions about fairness and potential misuse.'

'Consider the following scenario: A patient accuses another of being offensive based on something as tangible as wearing a red MAGA hat. The subjective nature of this “offense” could put the facility in a position where it has to deny care to the MAGA-hat-wearing patient in favor of the accuser, who thinks anything related to MAGA is racist and bigoted.'

Looks like this may need a trip to the nearest courtroom.

COURT SAYS LAWSUIT ALLEGING RACIAL DISCRIMINATION IN PENN STATE’S DEI APPROACH CAN GO TO TRIAL. The Atlantic:

“The ruling noted De Piero’s claim that he was subject to ‘race-based theories condemning white people for no other reason than they spoke or were simply present while being ‘white,’ and that his supervisor ‘spoke of race conscious grading’… Once, faculty members even had to watch a training video titled ‘White Teachers Are a Problem.'”

    WHITE Teachers are a problem?

Do these racist clowns not understand that its THEY that are the problem?

'After the murder of George Floyd in 2020, all Penn State faculty and staff were told to attend a “Conversation on Racial Climate” on Zoom. During the session, Alina Wong, an assistant vice provost for educational equity, “led the faculty in a breathing exercise,” De Piero’s complaint states, “in which she instructed the ‘White and non-Black people of color to hold it just a little longer—to feel the pain.’”'

'On at least four other occasions in 2020 and 2021, the judge wrote, De Piero “was obligated to attend conferences or trainings that discussed racial issues in essentialist and deterministic terms—ascribing negative traits to white people or white teachers without exception and as flowing inevitably from their race.” One session involved a presentation about “White Language Supremacy.” Another included examples of ostensibly racist comments “where every hypothetical perpetrator was white,” the judge continued.'

'In 2021, De Piero told an administrator that he felt harassed and singled out because of his race and asked that anti-racism training sessions be stopped. He filed a report with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission. He also filed a bias report with Penn State’s affirmative-action office. A staffer there allegedly told him, “There is a problem with the white race,” and urged him to keep attending anti-racism workshops.'

Make the racists bastards pay. They clearly will not be persuaded to change their evil racist ways by reasoned discourse and entreaty.

Once the lawyers get a couple wins and the legal path is clear everyone and their brother will be filing discrimination lawsuits over "woke", DEI, and other illegal adverse employment issues.
I cant wait for those cheezy class action lawsuit ads on TV.

I strongly agree that "woke" is out of control and needs to be stopped.

But I am also weary of anti-woke launching us back into hatred and bigotry just as bad. I don't want to slide into the days of rampant racism, sexism and homophobia, not with the "woke" nor with the "anti-woke".

I think the true antidote to woke needs to come from the left and from liberals reasserting themselves. Identitarian woke authoritarianism needs to be called out for what it actually is. And racism calling itself "anti-racist" needs to be called out as well. And we need to stand up for free speech rather than calling for censorship.

As a liberal from yesteryear, it truly blows my mind how people today claim labels like "liberal", "progressive" and "woke" while being the opposite of everything liberals stood for and should be standing for.

If Diversity Education and Inclusion lived up to its name, it would be a good thing. Sadly, it usually does the opposite. It restrains Diversity of thought, it pushes mantras instead of education and research on subjects it sees as taboo, and it explicitly excludes people based on race and gender.

Why should it even matter if it is a factor and not the only factor. Why would you think it acceptable for racial discrimination to be even a small factor? Are you ok with when white people are given preference based on race over everyone else, so long as it isn't the only factor?

Equal Employment Opportunity Commission ensures there is no discrimination in employment. DEI acts as an Equal Employment OUTCOME Commission which requires discrimination to achieve.
