The reason for this changing trend in polling is that the demographics in America are changing too.

 

This is soooo misleading. Gallop polls say no such thing. The choices are: Always legal, sometimes legal, or always illegal. The current abortion laws are neither "always legal" nor "always illegal." It's "sometimes legal," and that is how the majority wants it.

 

Lets put all rights up to a popular vote. Some years we'll have freedom of speech, others years not. Depends how grouchy the extremely tiny percentage of the population who actually contribute to polling data are that year I suppose.

A choice of adding a "health clause" to protect the mother (and believe me that is necessary) or have a "no way Jose" legislation that will see women dying. In the former it renders the legislation useless the latter.................

 

You either posted the wrong link or lied in the title because Gallup polls on abortion indicate that 80% of Americans believe that abortions should be legal.

 

Really? You think nearly 1,000,000 women a year will get away with "life of the mother" exceptions? Life of the mother situations are so rare as to be non-existent.

What compromise? Women want to control what happens to their bodies and you want to control women's bodies, so as a compromise you want to control women's bodies part of the time?

Only 1% of abortions are performed after 20 weeks. These are performed for hardship cases, not for trivial reasons. How can you possibly deny abortions for women without knowing the circumstances?

 

Consent ot sex is not consent to pregnancy. However every woman using contraception should have equal rights to abortion as definitely there is no consent to pregnancy
