You say this. I see a fast difference between "after" and "prior".

Russia was never “under the influence of the Catholic Church”. The Western / Central Slavic nations such as Czechs , Slovaks , Poles went under Catholic Church dominance. Lithuanians and Latvians in the East followed suit. A sizable portion of Western Ukrainians entered into communion with the Catholic Church about 1540 and it became the “Greek Catholic Church “ as a Rite of the Roman Church. A portion of Belarus people also joined the as an Eastern Rite Church.

There was no coup. Yanukovich was convinced that he was no longer wanted in Ukraine and went to live with his evil stepfather Vlad.

Many Russians were influenced by Genghis Khan....hence their "oligarchic fiefdom" attitudes.

Russians despised Catholicism....it was the largest religion...following wise....and moscals viewed it as a major threat.

That's probably why the attempt was made on Pope John Paul back in the day....the Polish pope.

Not to mention he was legally removed from office following the process laid out in Ukraine's constitution. Yet our lying Russian propagandist friends would like to falsely claim following the constitution is "a coup". Russians do love to tell lies though.

This hatred of the Catholic Church by Russia had nothing much to do with religion. It was about control. The Catholic ( or aka Roman Church )controlled all of the West of Europe until the Reformation. Even the empires of the West were not as authoritarian as was the Russian empire. Russia feared and still fears governments that are not authoritarian because they fear their slaves will wake up. This scenario is playing out today with Russia fearing the relative high freedom of the WEST— EU. The Russian Orthodox Church is nothing more than an arm of Russian security services. Stalin stocked the ROC with KGB and NKVD agents they were not priests and as far as I am concerned they are not priests today. They are criminals wearing robes and as my dad used to say “cooking pots on their heads”. Some of them if not all IMO are likely Satanists.
