I like that one with the really big teeth. Cycle Gear was like totally out of that stuff last time I looked; A person could modify it, layers like Achilles shield, back it with HEPA filter stuff or whatever.

A nice light plastic Star Wars storm trooper type helmet (cosplay) with powered air purifying so you don't sweat would be nice; $1000 at Grainger..., mask not included, for existing OSHA approved type PAPR stuff, way too expensive. Should be some way to make something useful enough for non-health care workers that doesn't exceed $200, and has affordable filters.

At some point though the government is going to freak out, because some states have laws against pointy hoods with face coverings.

Have some masks on order for under my helmet, the heat in Florida makes lifting the visor to the first notch necessary, I pop it down in stores near people.

Hopefully little monster will die soon, and no second wave.

Making fun? On the contrary, just making the best of an unhappy situation that pleases exactly no one, and acknowledging that wearing masks could well become the new "normal" until an effective vaccine or currative process can be found.

Danged virus is coming back in the fall, so say all of the experts with whom we've become familiar. Bandana sales will rise, and those with the creativivity for it have already come out with cloth masks featuring everything from pretty flowers and paisley designs to wild animals with sharp teeth. Oddly, the pretty stuff is much more readily available, while masks with skulls or gaping shark maws are backordered. We humans can be so perverse, expecially with "gallows humor."

"... pointy hoods with face coverings." :roflol:

What has me chuckling every time I think about it are the proliferation of cameras in every town and city, and the many millions that our government and others have spent on facial recognition software. Heh heh . . .
