    To protect themselves from sprays.

And you continue the string of logical fallacies.

In our systematic review, we identified 10 RCTs that reported estimates of the effectiveness of face masks in reducing laboratory-confirmed influenza virus infections in the community from literature published during 1946–July 27, 2018. In pooled analysis, we found no significant reduction in influenza transmission with the use of face masks (RR 0.78, 95% CI 0.51–1.20; I2 = 30%, p = 0.25

That's just one reaosn. Not very honest to leave all out the others.

But then, if you didn't leave them out, you'd have to admit masks work to prevent the spread of COVID. And you can't admit that. Your politics prevents you.

~ The "face mask of compliance " is what really goes on in the minds of the jab junkies. They need an excuse to obey their surrogate "Mommy & Daddy " — government.
Sad psychology going on in the USA these days ...

And the politicians panicked. They were too lazy to understand the science and the segment of the population who are at risk and how to protect them so they shut everything down and forced everyone to wear masks which protects no one. B

~ The political parties were jubilant to exercise authority and control over the populace — however it came to be. This was an opportunity to test compliance with totalitarian policies. We passed with an A+ grade .
Those who think that our upper government politicians actually give a hoot about the well-being of the citizens they are living in La-£a Land. cloud9.gif
Politicians work for the Party — not the people.

Florida and Texas won't. There will always be bastians of sanity as people of like minded values flock together away from the woke bullshit.

I live in California. It’s a governance disaster. The only reason we remain is the climate and natural beauty. The progressives have done a lot of harm in the name of “goodness”.

Governor Abbott outlawed all China Virus Mandate madness in March 2021... THANK GOD!

    TEXAS!!! WHERE FREEDOM LIVES!!!

PS - We're 24th out of 50 states in China Virus deaths... so it had little or no effect on fatalities.

    ~ I agree 100 %. Also Proposition 13 and a great auto club — AAA .
Some of us have to stay and salvage this state. Let the Progressive leftists leave and go ruin the rest of the USA. We may be the only ones left ! :aww:
I was born here. Lived in humid Hell of Florida on and off a few years — came back to the comfort of California. Got off the train a few times in Texas — another hot Hell hole with more illegal aliens than California. Too many kooks there.
Cousin in Arizona told me to come visit and think about moving." It's hot ‐ but it's a dry heat ." NO THANKS !
The real official saying of Arizona is :
"There is no shade in Arizona " :sun:

~ That's what you think. I could see Florida changing years ago when I was there. Too many Progressive Democrat moving in. They reproduce. They are the educators. They become the politicians.
It's always good to have hope ... but the USA has been dumbing-down for decades. Look who's in the White House ...

Sounds like you should learn to live indoors. You can air condition a home. Heat AND air conditioning.

The concept of individual liberty is completely foreign to you, isn't it? I suppose so, you are a foreigner who does not have (even in theory, which sadly is all we have anymore) such things where you come from. But we do things differently here, and don't really care what the rest of the world thinks.

Now, as to the OP, someone needs to send the overpaid head dude over there a calendar, and a copy of the CDC memo about cloth or paper masks being useless. Then again, it's California, so... It really IS a foreign country compared to the rest of the States, save a few like NY, IL, and likely one or three additional.

I do not care what the Donald did or did not say about it, or when he said it. Either what Joyce said is true, or it is not. My own personal experience is that she is correct. My wife had the jab, and at least one, but I think we both had two boosters (we will not be getting anymore unless things change drastically), and she still got the Rona. It was no more than a bad cold or a mild flu, and despite being within feet of me, unmasked, for days, and providing me with physical affection (aka kisses), I did not get it.

But I'm fairly certain I had it on my very last (so far) hospital visit. I went in the ER in Novemberish of 2019, and was not in my right mind, so I didn't find out about it until I 'woke up' around March. They sent me to a nursing home for around the clock care for another few weeks, and while there, I had all the symptoms, but there were no tests, and I didn't know enough about it at that time to even ask. If so, that may have helped, who knows.

But thems the facts from my seat.

But imagine waking up after being in essentially (if not strictly in line with a formal medical diagnoses) in a coma that started before I ever heard the word 'Covid' and ended in March of 2020. That was a total mind fck. Throw in Kobe's death...

The vaccines do not protect you from getting it but they do help prevent you from dying from it

the question is - how sick would you or your wife been had you not been vaccinated?

I spent 20 years in San Diego before retiring to Texas. San Diego weather is wonderful, but the outrageous state income tax, housing costs, Draconian gun laws, China Virus Mandates, CRT in schools, outrageous state deficit (we have a $30 Billion state SURPLUS here), poor services, etc. override the good weather.

A great many of the California middle class are moving out of the state. Our son is a journeyman hvac tech. He is a single parent and was living pay check to pay check on $150K per year. He moved to FL, bought a five bedroom house for $300 K in West Palm, takes home less, but lives a much better life and future. Our granddaughter goes to a special needs charter school there. We are retired so thankfully a lot of the craziness doesn’t affect us. But the high utility and gasoline prices do.

We moved here 5 years ago. We were both in our 60's and obviously the nest was empty. We researched and found a great little town in Texas (pop. a round 80,000) about 100 miles from Corpus Christi, 100 miles from Houston and 100 miles from San Antonio. Three major medical centers, including a university medical school. Great shopping, great restaurants, about 30 miles from the beach. No state income taxes, folks still say "Yes, Sir!" and "No Ma'am!"... very low crime... illicit drug use is low (its still illegal here)... friendly people... great services. Intelligent folks abound ... my immediate neighbors include an engineering professor from the local college, a pharmacist, and a software professional. While California grapples with a severe state budget shortfall, we're trying to decide what to do with our $30 Billion SURPLUS. Lowering taxes seems to be winning. The house we lived in, in San Diego, was a two bedroom, one bath hovel on a post stamp of land. It sold for $700,000. We moved here to a four bedroom, three bath dream home we bought for less than $200,000. (4 bedrooms: master, gym, guest bedroom/theatre, office) We can walk to a variety of restaurants (Texas Roadhouse is our fave, but Chinese, Italian and searfood are just as close). And gun laws in Texas reflect the Constitution, not liberal anti-gun sentiments. Oh, and our Governor has outlawed all the China Virus Tyranny Mandates since March of 2021. So now we have a daily schedule... up by the crack of noon... some jacuzzi time... lunch... recreation (sometimes exploring this history rich part of the world from the Alamo to San Jacinto to Goliad to NASA Mission Control, to the beach and more. The a romantic dinner... and more jacuzzi.

Gas here is some of the cheapest in the nation. A new refinery is being built so we'll soon be producing the oil, refining the oil, and selling the oil... all locally.

We found moving to be fairly easy, even at our age. So if you ever feel like relocating to Texas... we'd love to help. (Texans make GREAT neighbors.)

    TEXAS!! WHERE FREEDOM LIVES!!
