    On a positive note I spotted far less flags flying this year than last. A quick sample survey of my fellow workers who include both blue and white collar resulted in an overwhelmingly resounding no to bogan flag waving. I think the artifical American type patriotism that some elements wished to transport into this country is wearing out.

    No hatred, just facts.

    How many doctors or lawyers are out there with Australian flags flying on their BMWs, Mercedes, or Audis? Very few, if any.

    Go out into the streets next Australia Day and see for yourself.

    Do a little survey: compare the number of Holden utes flying flags with the number of Audis or BMWs flying them. You'll be amazed at the results.

    Anther personal insult that adds nothing to the debate.

    No plural. It's aimed at one person: me.

    Yes - exactly right. It is a crime how Howard and Costello wasted all of that mining income on middle class welfare and baby bonuses to buy votes.

    No infrastructure spending at all during the dark days of the Howard years. Even now it defies belief that Howard's lickspittle is still trying to stop this country having an actual broadband network. Then again - this is a bloke that thinks "climate change is crap"!!!

    He spent over a decade repaying the massive debt the Labor govt left when they were booted out of office by the voters.

    When the voters chose Rudd over him, that was the end of the economic good times...it's been downhill ever since.
