Gotcha so pay WHO 500 million, send them to China and not believe anything they say. Sounds like a brilliant lefty plan.

If you look far back in the history of this forum, you will find me trying. I praised his first impulses to bring peace to the Korean Peninsula, until he gave everything that KJU wanted while obtaining nothing in return. I praised what, at the time, appeared like transparency in his administration, by appointing Robert Mueller, only to later engage in criminal obstruction. Or when he met with the Democratic half of the gang of 8 and publicly, live, on the part of the meeting that was televised, promised he would instruct Republicans in Congress to come to an agreement on immigration with Democrats, only to quickly contradict his own words after McConnel called for an emergency secret meeting with him..... And many many attempts to find a "silver lining" in what was obviously going to be an administration by one of the least prepared individuals to hold that office. Again and again they disappointed.

I am not a partisan ideologue, like most Trump supporters are. If there were anything whatsoever worth praising in this administration, I would praise it. But every they appeared to be doing something positive, we were quickly brought back to reality.

Like what? He has done absolutely nothing! There is no legislation whatsoever that we could call his "initiative". Tax breaks for the rich was the only piece of major legislation passed by him during the whole two years in which Republicans held the House and the Senate.

You mean like getting us out of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression? Like enacting real legislation that guaranteed that there would not be another crisis in at least 10 years? And that they would endure for at least three years after the end of his second term even if an incompetent oaf were to come to power? You mean like eliminating the fact that anybody who had a pre-existing condition would have to choose between losing everything they and their family had in medical bill or their life.... even if they were not even one year old? You mean ensuring that over 30 million Americans had health insurance? And doing all the above in only 2 years because, after that, Republicans filibustered every single bill the House passed... Or killing Bin Laden? Or ending the Iraq war?

Yeah... hard to remember, I'm sure. I even remember the BAD things he did. Like spying on journalists. Like helping to create a huge mess in Libya. Like not ending Fast and Furious soon enough. Like a lousy roll-out of healthcare.gov. Like not finishing the TPP in time to get it passed. Like following a religious nut for years.. And many other things (no... the IRS pseudo-scandal is most definitely not one of them)

So, you see... I'm not claiming, as some do, that you are some sort of "blind Trump follower" or anything like that. I think the problem is that I just have a better memory than yours.

Let's see.... Bush was a really lousy President. He got us into two wars that he didn't finish. One of them by lying. He broke the deal with North Korea that was keeping them from developing nukes. The only two things in his Presidency that I think were positive were his efforts to end disease in Africa, which he later recanted on, and at the end of his presidency when he worked with Obama to bring the economy from the brink of total devastation. But.... what can I say... I like the guy! I consider him the funniest (in a positive way) President in our history. His sense of humor is unique and endearing.

Trump... I mean. He has done so much damage to this country. But the one thing that stands out was his policy to separate children from their family with no intention or plan whatsoever to ever reunite them.... ever! And no.... no matter what the Fox echo-chamber has been telling you, Obama did not do anything even remotely similar to that. But that right there should move any human being with the least sense of human morals to hate him. Trump is hated by everybody except his most loyal followers. Even his own family hates him. Don Jr. most of all, hates his guts. There is nothing wrong with hating somebody for doing things like what Trump has done. Hating Trump doesn't fog my senses. I would still praise him if he did something right. It's just that.... he doesn't. What can I tell ya? He has no redeeming qualities. None whatsoever. And, believe me, I've tried to find at least one.

It appears a lot more people have been infected than originally thought. Ever hear of herd immunity? That's what eventually happens with these viruses. It is the elderly, and the compromised that need to be isolated. But I know, you on the left want the economy shut down indefinitely (or at least until Novemeber.) Your hate for a successful Trump Administration supercedes any thought as to what is good for America. Ever think of all the medical personel that have lost their jobs due to postponed "elective surgeries"? Ever think of the complications and death that undoubtedly will result from those postponements?......I didn't think so.

Your answers are reasonable and well thought so I credit you for that.
I would like to look over your responses and see what factual information I can find and hopefully discuss that.

I'm always open to factual evidence. I would never consider I know enough to fully dismiss others thoughts.
Some in my family are as disgusted with Trump as you are and even though I cannot discuss it with them (they get too angry) discussing it with you might help me see their POV.

Much of what you say is what I hear repeatedly but which i disagree with on fundamentals. For example you cite the example of Mr. Trump separating children from their families but would you be open to the substantiated suggestion that this is not entirely true because for example it has been proven that human traffickers have brought MANY children to the US who were not actually their children, in hopes of using the child to skirt US law? some of these childrens lives have no doubt been saved due to these separations. In fact, Mr. trump wanted DNA testing to confirm this. Would you agree that there are criminals looking to exploit the system and profit from criminal activities involving children?

And what about the TARIFFS President trump imposed on China which led to bringing China to the bargaining table? What about the re-writing of the trade agreements between Mexico the US and Canada?

If your "proof" can be equally dis proven by my "proof", then it should be considered a stalemate and a staunch position should be considered inappropriate. And therefore leading to further discovery and evidence presentation.

Believe me, I REALLY would like to understand how there can be such a divide between those on the Left and those on the Right. it seems inexplicable and mysterious to me.
If on the other hand you reject every suggestion I offer, then it won't take long to see that you are not the open and flexible person you say you are.

Now, YES...since January things have changed......

But anyone who blames a pandemic and the economic damage done by it on the US President is clearly a fraud.

huh? The GOP with their CDC already have a direct line inside the WHO where Americans are working. Why pay more now? It's just a matter of using that direct line and listening to it. Donald and his White House had a memo made in January that millions of people could die. That's no doubt because of the info they received from China and the WHO with that direct line. And what did Donald do? He went on tour, packing up arena's with people yelling... this is the new hoax, people. Sounds obvious that he should be held accountable for that fake news he put up.

Donald also put in a travel ban to China. We know now that the US paid that lab in Wuhan a couple of million to do research of that virus. In the freaking mids of that ban, Donald arranged 2 airplanes full with Americans from Wuhan. (I can source that) A freaking place nobody has heard of before. Donald needs to explain who the hell was on them planes! No doubt it was packed with scientists working at that lab.

You really should take the time to do a ounce of research before you run off at the keyboard. The author you this false narrative has conviently ignored key facts. First, China hid the existance of the COVID-19 for 44 days. In December, they know that they were dealing with a new virus. Yet, they still did not notify the world until New Years eve. It was then, not until the middle of February that they allowed the WHO into China, and they refused to allow any of the doctors or scientists working with the CDC into China. Therefore, those doctors employed by the CDC and working for the WHO were limited to what the WHO could pry out of China. That includes all the fake information that China was feeding them.

What you're describing is what Republicans have called "Obama's separation of families". That has been in place since way before Trump took office, and it has nothing to do with what could be described as "torture" of children: separating them from those that they know are their parents, keeping them in cages sometimes for weeks and never bothering to plan on how to reunite them.

And hurting American farmers forever. Tariffs are never a policy that benefits anybody. What it does is hurt everybody. And Trump was hoping it would hurt China more than it hurt us. And it might have, from a purely economic point of view, but not from the human point of view. China is a communist country and couldn't care less if this destroys the livelihood of farmers. Trump too couldn't care less about the livelihood of farmers. He just thinks he can buy them off until the elections, not noting that, after that, they will have a life to live. And the government can't be sending them checks every month.... forever. But Trump doesn't care about events beyond election day

Changes are on minor details. Best thing I can say about it is that I don't see anything "bad". There are things that are potentially "good", but don't appear to be big impact on any of the economies of the region. They could have been negotiated as amendments at a much lower level. We'll see if it changes anything if it ever goes into effect.

Sorry, but I don't know what you are talking about. There is no "stalemate", there's only reality.

I think I have a pretty good idea why, but if I just tell you you're probably going to say I'm being partisan. So it's best to show you.

I don't reject any reasonable argument.

Herd immunity. Is that like what the human race developed so diseases like smallpox, typhus and plague didn't keep coming back again and again throughout the entirety of human history?

Oh wait, they did? And that's why vaccines were developed in the first place?

Or is it something like this?

Nobody loses their jobs due to postponed elective surgeries, and no one has complications from postponing them. You need to look up the definition of elective if you think that happens

Conservatives need to face facts, not everybody wants to risk dying just so the bars will open back up.

Pure propaganda. Evidence that the Left was making false images has been circulated openly.

Collateral damage is always possible in war. And we are indeed in an economic war with China. One that past Presidents have been more than willing to lose as long as their special interests were satisfied.
Will it hurt Americans to stand up to China? YES IT WILL. For too long China has been allowed to do as it pleased so that certain pockets could benefit. You know that, but maybe you don't mind China's tactics? It's like drug addicts. Weaning them off their drugs is painful for them, but necessary.
Did Mr. Trump personally tell you he doesn't care about events after election day? Or could this be your emotions talking for you?
The evidence that this statement is false is right before your eyes. He has a vested interest in the prosperity of America. If America fails, so will he...unlike most Democrats in DC who got rich from exploiting their political positions.
Not from being productive in the free market.

Obviously, your "reality" differs from mine significantly.

I'm 100% certain that if you were able to remove the partisan blinders, you could easily find MANY very good things in that list. But you refuse.

No matter what you are convinced that Mr. Trump has done "Nothing" your exact words.
I took the time to give you a very long list of things he has done.
You are going to hate Mr. Trump no matter what. End of Story.

All I can do is be sure to vote in November to nullify your vote and hope that enough of my peers do as well.
I have confidence that Biden, even with Michelle Obama as his running mate will be seen by most Americans for what it is.....a fatal mistake and a joke on Americans.
Biden is the best the Democrats have to offer. A man with obvious mental problems and a history of ties to Communist China..
    That speaks volumes.

    Yes, they did.
And Democrats have been doing that for decades.
If the left Media feeds it to them......

Actually, I meant your near worship of Donald Trump. Personally, I am mystified why anyone with more than two IQ points could possibly believe anything he says.

I knew what you meant.....but I decided to be as thoughtless as you were and post something that would no doubt get your response.

What you say is bizarre at best, but ill conceived at worst.
You can find ZERO posts where I 'worship" trump or anyone political for that matter.

Why so many people on the Left love to claim anyone "worships"
Donald Trump simply because he does things that clearly benefit America is the real mystery.

Hard core partisans who scream 'Orange Man Bad" 24/7 for nothing more than emotional reasons are a real problem in this country.
If Obama had been a good president I would have been first in line to say so.

Donald trump has so far been a very good President all things considered. He's kicked the Globalists asses to the curb and stopped the endless stream of US taxpayer handouts to ungrateful nations. BRAVO.

In another 4 years he might actually clean up the media. I hope so.

PS...He "said" he would build a Southern Border Wall.
oops, looks like a lot is already been done....Now you know how anyone could possibly believe what he says ;)

Maybe the real problem is that people with only 2 IQ points can't see the reality of all he has done good for America?

    Honestly......

If only you Trump haters could ever give any REAL EVIDENCE of anything he has done wrong maybe you would be taken seriously. If I could find truth in even 1/10,000 of the stuff claimed I'd at least give it a second thought. But everything is false, contorted, made up or outright deceitful

But after falsely claiming he urinated on people, colluded with Russians (not) and all the other hysterical claims made against him, it's really hard to take you folks seriously.

Let me see.... so they knew in December... and notified the world on December 31. Wow! They learned about the virus on the minus 13th of December So either the Chinese calendar is weirder than I thought... or your math sucks!

Wonderful! So you didn't answer the question on the OP. That means my point is made.

You can try again if you want. But, if you do, please stay away from any math...

If you bothered to do some research, you would see the convoluted messages coming out of China. Take for instance the fact that on January 14, the President of China claimed that there was no proof of Human to Human transmission of the New Coronavirus. Yet, a day later, this article was published:

    https://www.statnews.com/2020/01/15...ule-out-person-to-person-spread-of-new-virus/

In hindsight, we know that China's data on Jan 14, did show confirm Human to Human Transmission, but the Chinese President lied about that data, and the WHO parroted him. On January 20, Zhong Nanshan, who heads up China's National Health Commission claimed that they had confirmed two cases of Human to Human Transmission. But was that an officials Chinese Government Statement? It was another three days before the Chinese Government shutdown Wuhan. That was one day before China was holding their Lunar Spring Festival. It has been estimated that as many as 5 million Wuhan Citizens had left the city before the lockdown.

Your facts are in error. I know of hospitals in Arizona that are on the verge of shutting down due to postponements of "elective surgery". In fact, I was to have surgery on April 7th. My complication has almost sent me to the ER twice. If I actually go, I will have to be medi-vaced to Phoenix where they will be forced to perform my surgery if I make it.
Fortunately I got a call yesterday saying things are relaxing and I can get my surgery May 12th. I'll put my experience up against your running mouth any day.

Fact is, If they just put people with compromised health in quarantine, and allowed the rest to return to normal, we would keep our economy going at an acceptable pace and be able to provide for the welfare of others. I just don't understand why liberals want to destroy everything about America just because they "hate" Donald Trump so badly.

China said its human to human transfer on Jan20,reported to WHO next day, a day earlier than 1st reported US case. what did Trump do other than calling it Flu and gone in couple week till march, thats almost 2 month from Jan20. Also china lockdown on jan23, what did Trump do? nothing other than calling it Flu, he downplay it till mid march, then said its national emergency, and everybody try to rush to grocery store create more cases. so yea, stop try to find excuse for Trump. Health official, even hes economic advisor warn him since Jan. Like always he just try to shift blame to others. Just because china did it wrong doesn't excuse trump's wrong doing.

As did Nancy Pelosi and all of these leftists posting in this forums system. So now they are blaming Trump for failing to completely do what they were trying to roast him over a fire for doing at all. The most amusing part is that they think that the rest of the nation is as clueless as the average politically indoctrinated Dem Party voter.
