it becomes racist when you make it a "black" issue, the same thing happens where I live but here it'sorientals, natives, euro's, south asians, middle eastern just about any group you can think of, but it's not a racial issue, it's poverty and dysfunctional families...when you identify bad behaviour by colour it is racism even when it's not intended...just call them criminals, adolescent punks, brats whatever you want just leave the colour or ethnic description out of it...

I know about the "titles". Did you notice that I put guru in quotes. The point is that the ones who complain about the left have been on here longer. I do not what culture was going on before I started posting but you "gurus" seem to ignore the nonsense posts by the right and the outright insults.

Not sure that it is always an insult, when someone states their racial beliefs time and time again and even admit openly to having that POV then how is it an insult to refer to them as such, sounds like simply repeating what they themselves admit to being. I will stick to the rule, but disagree on the premise, heck the rabid ones I run into always end up on my Ignore list quickly anyway since as my signature says................

 

And how many folks here who are called racist over and over by the liberals actually ever admit that are in fact, a "racist" ? What most of us see over and over is that when we express criticism of black culture, the first response from a liberal is to call "racist".

Well I have over 15 of them on Ignore because they were so proud of it and at least half have admitted it in print here.
If you are posting complaining about President Obamas policies, you should not be labeled, if you post a thread on crime statistics and honestly discuss them you should not be labeled. If you post thread after thread attacking blacks you are one, if you make racist comments towards blacks, other minorities or the President you are one. I have rarely seen anyone on these types of boads applying the label without just cause, seems more of some trying to deny their own words and POV, they are fooling no one but themselves.
I know that, the new rules say so, and I will follow them, but that will not change the fact that people are what they are and not putting in print will not change that fact.

I'm most definitely on the left of the left, when I get too annoyed I don't complain I just send the offender to the permanent ignore zone that way I'm not tempted to say something I shouldn't...though on occasion I admit I slip up, but I still try to stay within the rules...

 

You are demonstrating exactly what I am claiming. That you are the arbiter of what qualifies as racist in others, and what not. I personally think that most liberals are dumber than a box of rocks, but I agree in being a member here to not play my "box of rocks" card in every thread.

I would submit that what I am seeing is what I and others have always known, that the race card to a liberal is like a mommy's teat to the mouth of a baby.

I have 93 folks on my Ignore list. Admittedly, 80% or more of them no longer post in PF. But I suspect my list is also a PF record. I seem to own all the dubious records here.

agreed...hard to tell how many are done with genuine malice and how many are done in ignorance...my brother kept referring to chinese as chinamen, he was being offensive without knowing it but when he kept doing it when i told him my chinese wife found it offensive he was just being a stubborn jerk who didn't want to admit his mistake...

We are all arbiters on those around us, it is how we form our opinions of others, we listen to others words and watch their actions and come to some determination of who and what we are seeing.

Why am I not surprised you then took the low road once again, typical. Yeah this should be fun to see how long it takes for some here to end up sitting in time out or banned for good.

I do not agree with using the ignore list. I think that it is important that we listen to how people think. It is hard not to tell them off but I will continue to speak my mind and hope some of it sinks through.

That's ridiculous. That's like saying one can't tell the policeman it was a black man that robbed them-when it was a black man who robbed them. It's a description.

There is an easy solution to this.
Instead of the word blacks we just leave off the first letter. So it would be lacks.
Instead of white we will just use hites.
For Moslems we just use the word terrorist.
The mods will never know. Problem fixed.
