Men are guilty of much the same in a different and subtle way. Personally, I am considered attractive and fit, desirable and worthy of attention (payment) by women. I have been aware and used this attribute to my advantage since my teenage years and eventually to gain the devotion and love of an amazing, beautiful, and competent woman.

As a former IRS agent, I know for a fact that all income is taxable unless it is specifically exempt from the Tax Code. Willful non payments of taxes is a crime. Those crooks who fail to pay deserve a stretch in jail.

 

What about self-incrimination by simply being honest about their income?

If they go to trial they do not have to testify as that is a Constitutional right. Filing a tax return is part of administrative law and does not violate that right (at least, not so in theory).

Geez, society arrests for practicing their trade, not for noncompliance with the tax law. To me, if anyone is going to get arrested it should be for not paying their taxes like everybody else does.
