    Guns are designed as a defensive machine. In that sense they are a life saving machine. Show me where a gun manufacturer has ever marketed a gun to the general public as an offensive weapon! I'm waiting............

    The two gunophobes here seem to be from Australia which is where Rebecca Peters is from. Therefore, they are mentily disabled when it comes to guns.

    I wouldn't go so far as to say mentally disabled concerning firearms, but it could just be me, but I would like to see an intellect higher than the mean intelligence of an underage drinking party.

    Not a single constructive thing has been said by the gun control advocates as of yet.

    I live in Australia.

    If you haven't visited I suggest you do, in order to gain a better understanding of exactly how different things are here.

    Generally speaking, we are not paranoid about evil governments or criminals lurking in every shadow. Australians don't continually worry about home invasions, murder, rape, or out-of-control governments.

    Additionally, we have excellent gun control laws that most law abiding citizens are very happy with (the one good thing the Howard government did).

    We certainly have our problems, but by and large we get along pretty well together without having to shoot each other (or worry about being armed).


    P.S. How are you going to "resist the government which has guns?"
    You don't honestly think that US citizens, with their pea shooters, would stand a chance against your government?
