Oh its a demonstratable fact that a significant number of Birthers are racists.

And I am absolutely correct in pointing out that Birthers only care about making the black candidate prove his eligibility- and could care less about the eligiblity of any white candidates. Whether that is because of their racism or not can be debated.

 

There may be some. But, unlike obama supporters, they make up an extreme minority of the whole.
If you have it in your mind that the only reason people hate obama is his chosen race then you may need to address your own racism before you address others.

 

That can be the only logical explanation for the extreme hatred of Obama. He's black.

 

Oh I think it is very clear that the reason a certain segment hate Obama is because he is a black man who has the audacity to be successful.

And then there are others who are so blinded by their own racism that they call anyone a racist who points out the obvious- that the only candidate that Birthers demand extraordinary proof of eligiblity is the black candidate.

I seriously doubt many of Hillary's supporters were racist, but have it your way. As for so many questions being raised before or after the elections, the rise of interest on the issue, were for things he said. My first questions were around, how could a Graduate of Harvard Law School, in Constitutional Law, which requires US History, say what he was saying...

I have treated Barack Obama exactly as I have treated every white candidate. I have demanded the same level of proof of eligiblity for the black candidate and the white candidates.

Birthers? Not so much.

 

Oh you have seen them- the resident Birthers who also happen to be among the resident racists here on the boards. One of them is banned now, but he keeps re-emerging with different sock puppets before he is banned again. Then there are the ones that call Barack Obama 'boy', another who regularly starts threads where he calls all blacks inferior.

We don't even have to go beyond these boards- once you get into the Birther websites, they really start going on with the racist remarks.

But I don't need to prove anything.

The facts are the facts.

And the fact is that the only candidate who Birthers make such demands is the black candidate. It was true in 2008 and its true in 2012. Is that because all Birthers are racists? Of course not. Not all Birthers are racists....not all of them....

If you check my posting record I regularly denounce those who attack Romney because of his faith- or attack the Mormon religion with the intention of slandering Romney- though it is my observation that those bigots exist on both the left and right.

I happen to prefer Obama's political orientation more than Romney's, but frankly I think Romney is very capable- and is just as much a centrist as the Far Right keep attacking him for. I despise those who attack Romney based upon his religion.

I no more apologize or pretend to know why President Obama says what he says than I did for what Bush said.

If the voters don't like what he says, they can chose not to re-elect him.

Birthers march out here on the boards all the time spewing their Obama hate, spreading misinformation, speculation, innuendo and lies. I confront that. I call them as I see them. I have seen Birthers here on the boards out their own racist mindset but frankly, I am not going to waste my time finding the examples of their posts. Would it change your opinion- no. Would it change one Birthers opinion- no? I have seen enough evidence here and other places to convince me that a certain unidentified percentage of Birthers are racists. I realize, and never have claimed that all Birthers are racists.

But and here is the but- the fact remains that the only candidate that Birthers have ever demanded the myriad of 'proofs' for- ranging from a moving target of birth certificates and confirmations, to kindergarten records and school finance records and wierdly enough records of ex-girlfriends- happens to be the black candidate.

Nobody has ever asked the white candidates these questions. No one has ever accused the white candidates of 'hiding everything' when their record of releasing this information is exactly the same as Barack Obama's.

It is not racism to point out the facts. But if you want to think otherwise- go for it.
