Why does it seem that gun lovers are merely being used for an emotional tampon relationship to get more Nationalized and more Socialized public policies enacted, through incorporation, while claiming to abhor such actions for everything else?

How does that account for States' rights as enumerated in our Tenth Amendment?

All any State needs to claim, is that the Second Amendment Must be applied literally; and literally, only a well regulated Militia (of the United States) is specifically enumerated as Necessary to the security of a free State, and therefore, exempted from State gun control (laws) in favor of federal gun control (laws); especially when called to federal service for the Union, due to the supremacy clause in our federal Constitution.

I don't know if the 9,484 number is correct or not, I didn't see any source provided, and I don't know if this number might be correct or not either, as it is just a conjecture :

The number of lives saved by use of guns in the United States > 9,485.

Only significant thing is, does it make any sense ? ... and the fact is, YES it sure does. Prolific gun ownership is one of the major factors that keeps a nation safe from invasion. For the same reason it has reduced crime, as criminals have to be wary that the "prey" they intend to mug, just might blow their brains out (if they're smart enough to know that).
