Are you positive? Also, do we know if she was wearing facial cover? The driver could've left her on the road if she was wearing non-facial cover Islamic clothing and didn't let her on just because she is a Muslim.

They cover all but the eyes which makes it impossible for ID. It would be no different if the eyes WERE covered.

Oh, a police badge! Got it! I was confused because earlier you were talking about the star of David badge which Jews had to wear. So I thought you were saying that police harass Muslim women by making them wear a badge.

It's French to call for banning of the face being covered up. But we're not French are we?
When the Germans come rolling in, we don't roll over, that's French.
    We're better than the French.

What's good for lesser evolved countries and Unions is fine for them, but not in the UK you don't.

    Now that's paranoid.

They're being scared into submission by an Islamic Boogie Man, and the Germans got scared about the Jews once, tell me, who's more stupid now?

Is it? Watch BBC1 and ITV on any Saturday evening - or any weekday evening, now that I think about it - and you might see what I mean. And WTF does the dumbing down social engineering program have to do with an Islamic Boogie Man, Germans, and Jews?

This is ludicrous. Its none of your ****ing business to tell women what kinds of clothes they can or cannot wear. Of all the big brother nanny- state notions of overreach. Using your half -baked theories about ' the influence of their patriarchal past' to restrict their fashion choices or their sense of modesty, or their cultural expression or their religious loyalty is pathetic and arrogant. Grow up, guy. Its their body to cover as they see fit, not you. Nobody needs your imput. You can wear jeans and a tank top.

As for your pearl clutching about what language others speak or what house of worship people attend, its a market-place at work. Persuade them that another house of worship or none is better for their lives, another language is better for their ears and tongues, and that same jeans and tank-top is more comfortable and you are good to go. If you can't persuade, you deserve to lose at the marketplace of culture, religion and language. Stop being a baby looking to nanny government to protect you .

I call it blunt candor. You need to know what your 'insidous' argument' really sounds like to the rest of us. Cowardly and weak. Stop being scared of people who do not 'assimilate' to your satisfaction and grow a pair. Real men are not afraid that somebody's else's ideas on clothing or culture or God might gain more favor than theirs. It just means theirs are not as bloody appealing and competitive as the whiny Islamophobic wimps thought they would be. You have to change your product or branding so that it entices and wins the customers.!

Doncha just get fed up with this 'grow a pair' jibe. Call it 'blunt candor' or anything else you like, but I can't be bothered to argue with your naive, holier-than-thou sanctimony.

Its the basic philosophy of the free market of ideas that you can't argue against. I can't see Jefferson, Madison, Franklin, or Hamilton raging to pass federal laws because women immigrants were wearing too much clothing.

I am an American. I grew up on notions of personal liberty and freedom of speech assembly, and religious worship. Foreign cultural ideas do not scare me.

Yes, you're a liberal - you don't need to tell me that! And I don't need to remind you what I think of liberals - especially religious ones. But don't you understand that global Islam intends to deny you your 'liberty and freedom of expression'? They really do - that's what it's all about???

And conservatives like the idea of telling women what kinds of clothing options Papa Government will tolerate? 'Global Islam' does not exist anymore than global Christianity or Global Judaism exists. Its a figment of your over active imagination.

There are people who do want to deny me my liberty and freedom of expression and some of them will come here and do some terrible things. Micromanaging and banning the cultural markers of dress and language of Middle Eastern immigrants, to deny them their liberty and freedom of expression, is not going to stop the bad guys, Cerberus. You are boxing shadows.

Except for one difference - if anyone declines the invitation to sign up with Christianity or Judaism they don't have their heads cut off, or be buried alive?? Oh, and I don't have flights of fancy, I'm a realist and a pragmatist, and we have our heads firmly attached to our shoulders - and we want to keep it that way!

You are doing it again. How many people in the United States have had their heads cut off for declining that 'invitation' by a muslim? Realism is about ditching facts, for RELEVANT facts. Compare the risks of that, with the risks of alienating Arab and muslim Americans with this kind of silliness. There is nothing pragmatic in fear-mongering and making wild outrageous charges.

JESUS! Because they haven't had the invitation yet. This war is only just beginning? Or do you think I'm fantasising again? God I wish that I could live in your little bubble.

They have had the invitation. We have had muslims living in this country since before the civil war. they had some major recruitment among African Americans in the 1960's and 70's, not a ton, but certainly enough to notice those heads coming off the Baptists who were not interested. Sooo, where are these crimes caused by Muslims who cannot handle a 'no thanks, I prefer my pastor's sermons'

It won't be a Muslim who asks you if you'd like to 'join the club', it'll be an Islamist who won't take 'No' for an answer.
