    I have something against pedophiles.
They do have the same rights to an extant. You can't call there marriage a marriage because its not. Marriage is between one man and one woman. Other than that they right the right to walk the same streets, exercise there rights as listed in the constitution like anyone else who I disagree with like athiests.
Hahahaha! Really? You don't dont even know how I feel about them before this post. I can disagree with gays without hating them.

Aren't you judging me with that statement? In context it's talking about hypocritical judgement. "You should not litter" I said while dumping a trash bag full of garbage on the street.
I agree with the first statement. However Romans talks specifically about the sin of homosexuality. And there's a difference between love and lust. I love my sister, does that mean I can marry her? I love my dog, does that mean I can marry it?
If they come to repentance that is.

And yet at the same time homosexuality is a sin too so what's your point?

They are already doing something similar. Remember a certain bakery?

Either you forgot or you are lying through your teeth. Did not I said in another thread that I believe that you should abstain from physical relationships until you are married? Did not I also said that I'm a virgin? Besides, this is a gay rights thread, what else am I'm supposed to talk about but gay marriage/rights?

Yes you can through therapy but most importantly through repentance.

Sorry, but having you lecture us about human relations, given your "experience", is bit like having having a turtle tell me
how to drive a car ...

With God all things are possible. There are many salvation stories where long-time smokers once he repented all of a sudden didn't had the desire.

Bigotry is simply believing you are right and everyone else must be wrong; even when you are full of fallacy. Gun lovers and the right are a prime example.

In any case... here is a clear and decent summary of what many are trying to say:

What he's saying is very unbiblical and very wrong and out of context.

It took a mid-aged English mom about 2 months to have her book printed in every language and distributed around the globe.

It took an omnipotent God 1,500 years to accomplish the same feat.

Logic says that either the Bible was not that important to God, or God is less powerful than a middle-aged English woman (or that God
thinks it is more important we learn the lessons of Hogworts than of John and Co.) Sorry.

Tell that to Jesus, those are all his words, not mine, he will save and forgive anyone, not by any rational any human can fathom without inspiration.

I had a minister ignore me today simply because I told him that Jesus does not want anyone to go to hell.

It is important to not worry or be concerned about anyone else sinning, let Jesus take care of that part.

A woman told her husband, that preacher sure could preach, and The husband responded, he sure could drink good too !

    You get yourself right !

And no, I can't ever judge you since I am not God, and only God is to judge anyone.

    Luke 12:13-21King James Version (KJV)

13 And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.

14 And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?

Dr.Who, You were the only person that gave any kind of response to my questions. But, they were non-responsive. It does not matter whether or not it is "legal" to have multiple spouses, marry a four legged dog or claim special rights as a white supremacist. Just a few short years ago it was illegal to marry someone of the same sex in every state in this Union.

So, the questions still stand. Can I have three wives? If the law protects gay marriage, what's the fundamental difference between that and having multiple spouses?

With respect to civil rights, I looked up the legal definition online and found this:

"Civil rights" are the rights of individuals to receive equal treatment (and to be free from unfair treatment or "discrimination") in a number of settings -- including education, employment, housing, and more -- and based on certain legally-protected characteristics.

... the term "civil rights" is also used to describe the advancement of equality for all people regardless of race, sex, age, disability, national origin, religion, or certain other characteristics
    ."

    http://civilrights.findlaw.com/civil-rights-overview/what-are-civil-rights.html

So, once again, if my religion were to anticipate multiple wives, shouldn't the same court decisions protecting gay marriage protect the guy who has several wives? Should the same court decisions not protect the individual that wants to marry a four legged animal?

In Georgia, the liberals are beside themselves because now ministers are required to perform same sex marriage. I'm sure those who wanted the recent law vetoed that protected ministers can give us some smoke and mirrors show to dodge and duck the obvious "separation of church and state" arguments.

The Bible teaches that ALL people have sinned. Repentance may not eliminate the desire to do evil, unhealthy or the wrong things; however, the sinner knows right from wrong and does what they can to abstain from doing that they know is wrong when they are truly repentant.

"The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances. It was adopted on December 15, 1791, as one of the ten amendments that constitute the Bill of Rights."

Please show us where any priest of pastor has EVER been forced to perform a wedding service that he did not want to or where any
law forces this to happen. There have in the past been lawsuits from HETEROSEXUAL couples trying to force this action, and
the courts have always sided with the priests - so please, do not spread falsehoods.

If you want to marry multiple wives, or your sister, or your dog - you are welcome to spend millions of dollars and thousands of
hours - just like gay people did - to get the Supreme Court to hear your case. Otherwise, if marrying your pet rock is so
important to you - stop trying to piggy-back on another person's efforts. Get out there and work for it.

Tired of these lazy people who want to marry their sister's daughter always trying to use the long struggle of gay people to sneak their fat, lazy butts through the system.

"Madison's original proposal for a bill of rights provision concerning religion read: ''The civil rights of none shall be abridged on account of religious belief or worship, nor shall any national religion be established, nor shall the full and equal rights of conscience be in any manner, or on any pretence, infringed.'' 1 The language was altered in the House to read: ''Congress shall make no law establishing religion, or to prevent the free exercise thereof, or to infringe the rights of conscience.'' 2 In the Senate, the section adopted read: ''Congress shall make no law establishing articles of faith, or a mode of worship, or prohibiting the free exercise of religion, . . .'' 3 It was in the conference committee of the two bodies, chaired by Madison, that the present language was written with its some what more indefinite ''respecting'' phraseology. 4 Debate in Congress lends little assistance in interpreting the religion clauses; Madison's position, as well as that of Jefferson who influenced him, is fairly clear, 5 but the intent, insofar as there was one, of the others in Congress who voted for the language and those in the States who voted to ratify is subject to speculation. - See more at: http://constitution.findlaw.com/amendment1/annotation01.html#1"

    Daniel Light,

Pardon me, but are you trying to be a smart a...? I'm just asking. There was no need to be condescending nor to challenge me. Regardless of whether or not any pastor has ever been forced to perform a wedding ceremony, until the recent court decisions were announced, the world was a different place. So, we now have a law that was introduced to protect ministers in anticipation of recent court rulings.

The governor vetoed the bill. IF there was no threat; if pastors already had the right to refuse to perform a gay wedding, then signing the law would pose no problem.

As to the balance of your post, I think it's a personal attack and I don't do them. I have a PM for people that want to get personal.

"Not agreeing with" homosexuality does not make you a homophobe. However, most people's reasons for "disagreeing with" homosexuality tend to be based on conceptualising homosexual people as inferior in some way and treating them as such, and that is where the bigotry lies.

If you view paedophiles as inherently lesser human beings, then yes, you are bigoted towards them - but this is generally seen as A-OK since paedophilia is viewed as objectively harmful (I would disagree, but that's another story).

Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on a sec. Are you saying that pedophilia doesn't hurt anyone or are you saying we shouldn't see pedophiles as monsters?

Definitely the latter. Of course paedophilia is harmful, but that is only within a context, and so are all sexual orientations/preferences to an extent.

To which I agree. But only those who believe on Him shall be saved.
He doesn't, but that doesn't mean he saves all.
But if you don't realize that you are a sinner then what is going to motivate you to accept Jesus as you lord and savior?
He needs to stop drinking, in fact if he's not qualified to be a preacher because one of the requirements is you must be sober minded.
Partly true, but that doesn't mean I should never mention that you should stop drinking. Ultimately its on your own head to stop sinning.
Shall we get rid of the justice system then? Was your service in law enforcement was all in vain and a giant sin?

He telling him to judge between themselves.
