Yes she became PM after Cameron resigned.
She had a majority and lost it in the snap general election she called, she thought she could wipe out Labour instead she ended up in a minority government.

Yes, and she is still PM because the Tories know they would be out if we had an election. They would be out and in a feud which I doubt they will ever recover from. Of course they are also being kept in by the DUP who are determined to have Brexit to make sure there is no united Ireland. For them, the Good Friday agreement could go up in smoke, no problem. I find it fascinating that Fosters reason for supporting Brexit looks like it itself may end in creating the very thing she supported Brexit to avoid!

Hmm, your knowledge of Corbyn and Sturgeon seems to be zero.

From the teachers to the students...

The blackshirts in Antifa have filled that void.

Obviously not if you followed my posts. Yours and your knowledge of what is communism and fascism straight out of the far right playbook.

No your knowledge of the manifestos of Labour and the SNP is zero. I rather expect Alexa knows them as well as anyone on this forum. Can you actually back up your rhetoric?

Yes, the Tory party are doing what they do best ,Tory party before country. The biggest disgrace is the DUP, remember "vote labour get SNP!" and yet people "voted Tory and got DUP! Oh the irony!

Blame is better to give than receive.

You have to realize that humility and introspection are two traits that the "progressives" in our country don't possess. Instead of accepting responsibility for their appalling candidates, bankrupt ideology and failed policies and doing something about them, they resort to scapegoating in order to avoid admitting that they were wrong.

For the Babeuvian Illiterati, the myth of "progressive" infallibility must be maintained at all costs...

and it looks like there will be no repeat referendum as there is not enough demand for it which means we will likely be sitting around till an election is eventually called, while the Tories let the country go to rack and ruin.

I think we can see signs of a deal involving customs union, both Amber Rudd and Kenneth Clarke have hinted at such today.

Ok , I am now officially confused: May's government loses the Brexit vote by the largest margin in the history of Parliment but survives the no-confidence vote.

They still want her to represent the interests of the UK but they won't support the deals she makes.

Sounds strangely familiar, from this side of the Atlantic.

If she lost a vote of no confidence chances are there would be a General Election the Tories do not want that and the DUP are enjoying being the party that keeps the Tories in power.
The difficulty is that those who voted against her last night are hugely split between the majority who want a soft brexit, the absolute die hard leavers and the die hard remainers. I think there is a majority forming around a Brexit with a customs union, but we shall find out in the next few days. Hope this helps, tried not to put in my bias!

Actually he's brilliant. An expert in his field, and has been quoted in Bloomberg quite a few times. Takes after me.

Well Ken Clarke is very definitely a EU man and Rudd apparently wants another Referendum. I would be happy with a Norway Plus. That would keep things alright with Ireland and leave us in much the same situation except we would not make decisions in the EU while having other freedoms over trade - much what I had heard people say leaving would entail. At that time I thought it was worse than being in the EU because of the loss of voice. However given the instability there is now in the EU that might be the best place for us right now. With a Corbyn Government we could also show Europe that there was another alternative to the far right and work with Diem 25 who are working to bring democracy to the EU and relieve it from neo liberalism.

May has at least changed her mind and decided to include Corbyn in talks.

Did you see KC on PMQs, he told May he thought there was two majority's in Parliament, one majority against no deal and one for Brexit with a customs union.

I thought the democrats already pulled that one - and are still pulling it so Trump can't better relations with Russia. That's the priority you know, after all if Russia's not on board how can the ideologues forward their liberal one world order. Good luck!

Anyway you're wrong. The next thing that will come out now that Russia has proof Washington was helping ISIS will be that Russia is helping ISIS. It reminds me of the time the US Air force deliberately bombed a hospital in Afghanistan. To cover it up, the MSM started blasting that Russia bombed 7 hospitals in Syria - all of them non existent of course.

No, I didn't see it. There would be mutiny from the hard Brexiteers I would think. They would need to get Labour votes to help them and they were saying earlier they did not think they would get enough. I was listening to a Scottish Labour Member earlier and he was saying absolutely no way should Labour support the Tories. There are other things as well as the EU. The other thing that needs to be remembered is that we will also need the approval of all the other countries of the EU for any new deal. So I guess the most important thing at the moment is changing the leaving date and giving us more time. Corbyn has apparently said he will only speak with May if she takes No Deal off the table and she apparently will not. Labour still want an election though people do seem to think it is not impossible they may at some time move to supporting another Referendum.

Any gentlemanly candidate such as Rand Paul would never have been allowed to win. My hope was that if Trump could demolish the corrupt deep state which Clinton and Obama were part of, and clean it out, then someone with integrity like Rand Paul would have a chance of becoming President.

2020 will be interesting. Who will the DNC throw out there? Barry or Beto or someone else? I’ve no ideal....

I just hope for someone I can support this time.

Either way it might be circus and at least entertaining. The media is going to be savage on Trump if he runs again!

Another referendum will cause major internal problems if Brexit doesn't win. France might look peaceful in comparison. Anyway Nigel Farage who started the whole ball rolling said that if one was held, Brexit will win with even more votes. He also said at one time that the only nation that gained anything from the EU was Germany - and if Farage said it then it has to be true. I mean come on, just listen to him speak. Anyone who speaks like that can't be wrong. I love him!

    Thank you Jeannette, thank you!
