I don't disagree with you. The Virus started in China. However came into the USA from Europe

Trump knew in Nov 2019 what was coming and sat on his hands

All that doesn't change the Facts that we have 4 % of the worlds populations and 25 % of the Worlds Virus Cases

We also have 60,000 more Virus Deaths than any other Country in the world

Other countries under their unified Leadership won against the Virus ............... Under Trump America Lost against the Virus

That's true, BUT at that time the WHO and XI/CHINER were hiding the fact that Taiwan had been seeing Human to Human transmission and there's where the lag in urgency happened.. I can remember joke about as long as you don't eat bats or Dog there's nothing to worry about ;)

Been through all this at least three dozen time, links/emails and doesn't make a difference, the left NEED this to be Trumps fault and anything the CHINERS are guilty of is simply ignored, waste of time then and waste of time now..

Trump said on Bob Woodward's interview in early February that he knew it was a air borne virus .

It didn't need to be " Trumps Fault ". Trump could have shown Leadership and won the fight against the Virus as other World Leaders.

Trump would have been a Hero. Sailed to re election .............

However that wasn't what Trump chose to do...........

Instead he didn't rally the citizens to wear a mask, quarantine or social distance.

Trump instead pushed Americans to ignore practices, pushed to revolt , that would slow down and even stop the Virus.

Much less create contact tracing or widespread testing

Hell..........9 months later and 198,000 dead Americans Trump can't even do a simple thing such as wearing a mask in public himself

No you're wrong ............. it didn't have to be Trumps Fault............ It was all up to him

Really? Big macs and whoppers slice and dice the heart muscle fibers like this? You don't know what you are saying, sorry. See all these little tiny bits? They were supposed to be bundles of long fibers. While big macs and whoppers can cause coronary artery disease, it's not as fast a killer as inflammatory myocarditis leading to heart failure, and the consequences are typically much later in life than what can come out of this.

But don't take just my word for it (although I assure you I'm perfectly qualified to issue this opinion, but I don't want to claim authority because what I'm saying doesn't need a claim to authority; it is evident enough to stand on its own). If you don't believe me, just read this link:

    https://news.yahoo.com/post-covid-h...a-black-hole-in-infected-cells-172015067.html

Then google "Cardiac damage from Covid-19" and consult the dozens of articles including statements by the main Cardiology organizations.

    This is serious; very serious.

As we speak, in your little town where things are supposed to be going so well, there may be a largish number of people destined to have heart failure in a few years.

    Pure nonsense.

There have never been accusations with any merit that the CDC was political until now

Who is going to accuse them? It's all about the language. No one is asking for funny numbers. It is one thing to say the numbers have increased by 50% since last week it is quite another to say we went from 2 to 3 though both statements would be factually correct.

Reality not your thing huh. That's all this is about us how to tell the news concerning covid. Another example would be war department reports during the Civil War. Usually toward the end it would read something like Great Victory along the Rapahanack. And it much smaller print long after extolling the bravery if various combats and in much smaller print 30,000 dead and wounded. Meanwhile New York Copperhead papers would read blood bath on the Rapahanack 30,000 dead, and down toward the after a quite lurid verbal picture of the death in much smaller smaller Grants forces won.

Just examples from a reality you seem desperate to ignore. Its all about how you tell the story. That's all this is about. It's not about numbers it about the narrative.

    Taiwan had 10 deaths.

If their pop was the size of the USA it would still be less than 200 for the year.

While we will have over 200K.

Most countries bent the curve, a few like Taiwan and SK did a spectacular job bending the curve.

    We didn't.

Every nation that was successful worked at it with a strong national response.

    We did not.

    Obvious failure still obvious...

From the link in the OP

The health department’s politically appointed communications aides have demanded the right to review and seek changes to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s weekly scientific reports charting the progress of the coronavirus pandemic, in what officials characterized as an attempt to intimidate the reports’ authors and water down their communications to health professionals.

In some cases, emails from communications aides to CDC Director Robert Redfield and other senior officials openly complained that the agency’s reports would undermine President Donald Trump's optimistic messages about the outbreak, according to emails reviewed by POLITICO and three people familiar with the situation.

This poster seems to revel in being wrong.

    What a rationalization!

    Science get “negotiated”.

Let me know when the apple hangs in the air because Newton told the king it would fall, and the king decided he didn’t want to hear that.

Noticed that no science is discussed in Trump “corona briefings”, at least not more than the first few minutes.

Notice how Redfield sits on his chair against the wall, thoroughly cowed by Trump’s incessant bullying.

Notice how Fauci has been pushed aside altogether, in favor of Trump’s make it up as we go along, and when it doesn’t go right, lie about it nonsense.

It was Moscow Mitch that said Republicans were "The Party of No".

    But yes, that is radical.

Is that projection, or are you getting that idiocy from a source too embarrassing to mention.

Nobody had to. That’s exactly what’s happening.

Which is why the CDC can be accused by Trumpster partisans of being “confused”.

Trump and his team have attacked and tried to undermine the public health experts at every turn.

We all watched his tawdry bullying act on live TV every day last spring.

And we watched Trump take credit for things that did not happen (as he often does) attack anyone who dared challenge or even question his narrative, and constantly upend things and create chaos.

These is a very sharp contrast beween what Andrew Cuomo did in New York, and what Trump did not do in the country.

    The results speak for themselves.

So, New York has the profile that the first world countries have, after taking decisive action.

The US stands with the third world, with the highest infection and death rates of any industrialized country.

Trump left us dead last among the world’s major nations. A failure that will reverberate for years to come.
