Well, well, well. It seems that the candidate really beholden to the Chinese is none other than Donald J Trump. I’m sure his MAGA apologists will find absolutely nothing wrong with this laundering of bribes through his business.

Three years of 'Bribed Biden' but no concern about Trump making money off foreign countries (China in particular). I guess Biden should have purchased a hotel and ran the payments through that!

Lemme guess, libs think all that money went straight into Trump's pocket. They want to believe he didn't pay taxes on it, didn't pay the employees who work in those places, and I'm sure they believe Trump forced China to use his properties.

While I didn't read that entire article, I will say CNN put a lot of effort into investigating something when it comes to Trump but will they investigate Biden the same way? That's not a whataboutism as Biden was brought up in the 4th post.

Apparently liberals don't think chinese people should be able to rent property owned by Trump. Pretty hilarious.

Meanwhile, none can explain what service Hunter and Joe provided for all the money they raked in and they don't bat an eye.

POTUS should not have ANY business arrangements with foreign governments. None. Zero. Nada. Nil.

So Chinese people shouldn't be able to book Trump Hotels from 2024-2028 after Trump beats Biden?

    Oh for ****s sake.

Those payments collectively included millions of dollars from China’s Embassy in the United States

So they rented space in a building he owns for their US Embassy?

This is the kind of BS non-sense that makes any legitimate claims about Trump impropriety glossed over.

Yup. Meanwhile, ask them to explain what service Hunter provided for the millions he raked in. At least with Trump the service is obvious, hospitality.

    Yeah yeah.

Because comparing selling a product or service to just handing somebody money is exactly the same?

The Chinese government sure as hell shouldn’t.

If trump wanted to deal with this ethically, he would have said that his businesses would not accept business from ANY government (or government controlled entity). Not American, not foreign.
Not anyone who was representing a government.

But - he sure read the room. He knows that his supporters don’t give a **** about ethics. About conflicts of interest. They will support him blindly.

So he can do all kinds of unethical things and his supporters just don’t care.

If any other federal employee did what he has done, they would be facing years in prison.

When you can prove that any country 'just handed' money to Biden, we can talk.

And it is something they could hold over him. Whether they did or not is irrelevant. He was compromised. That kind of relationship would prevent someone from getting security clearance. But you obviously don’t care.

Chinese government sending money to Hyatt and Holiday Inn - so what.

Chinese government sending millions to POTUS - bad.

It is truly sad that you can’t (or don’t want to) see it.

Well joe didn’t make any money, so why would he provide services?
Hunter had consulting and investing firms, only a secret to those too lazy to google him.

For a sophisticated criminal, it would be a great way to launder money, unless one can prove the services were not actually provided. That's what money laundering is, another step to make it harder to prove crimes were committed.

Even without something as egregious as that, it's at least a conflict of interest for those who want to influence Trump as a president also being his customers.
