A sampling of some of the best chyrons (this guy deserves a raise):

There are very few words to express the absolute insanity associated with having this ****ing moron lead these daily press briefings. During this one press briefing ALONE, Trump aired a three minute video produced at taxpayer expense designed to praise Trump, he declared that he had "total authority" to force States to open up their economies, and failed to discuss a single step taken during the month of February or Early March to address the virus.

There are two primary reasons why Trump displayed "one of the biggest meltdowns of any President in history" and it is because he has watched Governors on the East and West Coast form coalitions to plan for how to re-open the economy and because the polling data regarding support for his handling of the virus has turned negative for the first time while the death toll continues to climb by more than 1500 a day.

He has done a great job and has downright manhandled the fake news press. They lie, and misrepresent him and he truly handles it like a champ, OWNING the fake news media in the room, driving them NUTS.

His daily press briefings have been very informative, thus why his ratings are so high. And death count estimates are dropping regularly due to his leadership.

The recent video he played for them....hilarious. The media in the room had a complete MELTDOWN at seeing their own hypocrisy on full display. Was such a good watch.

I think it interesting that you find it funny or even useful for Trump to take the time, and use taxpayer dollars, to point out the hypocrisy of the "media" on a day when 1500 Americans died from the very pandemic that he is supposed to be briefing.

Btw, did that video clip include any quotes from Sean Hannity or Laura Ingraham or Rush Limbaugh or his own Press Secretary?

I find it interesting that you DONT think its useful for him to do that. The media is very important, and very powerful, and VERY corrupt. The role they play in our country is massive and will continue to be massive throughout its lifetime, well beyond that of any one president. It is therefore so ridiculously important that they be held to high standards of honesty and truth telling and they completely FAIL.

One of the best successes of Trumps presidency is highlighting just how corrupt and fake the media has become. They no longer report the news, they BECOME the news. They no longer even make an attempt to be objective, they function as propagandists. You have to dig through a mountain of lies to get to the shred of truth they are reporting on, and this isn’t the exception...it is now the rule.

Him putting this on display will always be a top priority and it SHOULD be.

What can he say at this rate though? To quote HRC: What difference at this point does it make? These press briefings, if they don't contain new or vital information are pointless. But Trump did something that was very important: It wasn't he alone, who downplayed the crisis.

Everyone downplayed the crisis. In part(in very large part) because the Chinese have not been honest with us(or themselves) about the outbreak of the Coronavirus. Because of that(and not knowing patient zero), we're still from behind.

No one had complete or perfect information, and no one shouild pretend they did. Now, there's this brand spanking new talking point about what Trump did or didn't do after the travel restrictions.

Here's the thing though: Trump can't go down to the factories and produce it himself. He's not that kind of individual. What he can do, is order these things but from there, the producers have to actually produce. It has been one of the worst logistical crises in American History.

We finally have the at-home kits, only to find we don't have enough SWABS to use them. This isn't a Trump thing. The difference between the South Koreans and the CDC is that the South Koreans produced right away, and the CDC flopped.

There is literally NOTHING Trump can do about that production failure. And even as far as Mass production goes? Even if/when Trump uses the National Defense Act, that's like the President stomping his feet. It doesn't change anything about the production capabilities.

It's not like we have slaves, we outlawed that in a civil war if you remember. But in addition to that, the factories that produce these things require MANPOWER. Manpower that we are told, has to stay at home.

This is ridiculous. Shorten economic manpower, then blame the President for lack of production. This is literally where we are.

Andrew Cuomo does a daily press briefing which are informative and refrain from bashing anyone. I would suggest that Trump be more like Andrew Cuomo.

My county had 4 yesterday. Not sure yet about today.

But that doesn’t refute my point at all, if thats what you were trying to do.

That’s because when he says virtually the same thing as Trump...he is treated like a hero by the media, whereas Trump is treated like a villain.

Trumps attacks on the media are necessary, and its just icing on the cake that its so glorious when he does it.

Your county had 4 deaths in a single day?! And you want to applaud Trump using taxpayer dollars to make a video praising his own response to the crisis during the daily pandemic press briefing?!

Cuomo proves that it is not even remotely necessary or useful to attack the media - many of which absolutely do ask extremely critical questions of him during the press briefing.

He also proves that it is wholly unnecessary to use taxpayer dollars to praise himself during these press briefings.

Yes, my county of over 2.6 million had 4 deaths. Given the amount of deaths we were told we were going to have...your damn right I am applauding Trump. And yes, I applaud any amount of tax payer money being used to spread awareness of the media’s ridiculous propagandist style reporting. It’s necessary for the betterment of the United States.

Trump told you that he didn't think it was even inevitable that an outbreak would take place in the US (immediately after his health expert said it was inevitable) and that the number of cases in the US would go from 12 down to single digits (when it was already 40+)!

He also conducted a travel ban WEEKS before anyone else in the US was even considering to take it seriously.

WEEKS lol. Pelosi was still telling everyone to go out in large groups in china town and mingle lol.

Like it or not, Trump performed where democrats did nothing but politicize.

Let's pretend that the partial travel restriction actually bought us some more time.

What did Trump do with that extra time? He was explicitly asked that very question today. For the month of February and much of the early part of March - what did Trump do with the extra time?

I hope that you can provide a better response than he did.

It did buy us time according to Dr. Fauci. Given what we are doing, mitigation, and attempting to delay having to many people get sick at once thats exactly the purpose of him doing that. Mission accomplished.

    Meanwhile, what did Democrats do?

I mean, reading these COVID-19 stats is like reading a weather report lol. Anyone can do it. I do agree that Trump's personality is different and in many ways, hinders his own performance. I would've had some lacky do it and go drink some soda or something.

Just pretend it was a mass shooting. Funny how those have slacked off. Look for more, when this dies down and November, draws near.

You didn't answer my question. What did Trump do with that vaguely justified "extra time?"

On March 13th, Riverside California ordered all non-essential businesses to close. That was three days after Trump said to "stay calm, it will go away" and four days after Trump pointing out that nothing had to be shutdown last year despite 37,000 dying to the flu.

Trump said the virus was "very well under control" on January 30th, February 23rd, February 24th, February 25th, and February 29th.
