Go for it. We dont, tho, feel there are any facts that support creationism nor contradict ToE. Many a thread has asked for one but so far, no. - - - Updated - - - We could lighten it up a bit, and just say "uniformed". Tho people who persisteth can start to look pretty foolish.
Define evolution? I suppose you mean our concept of what we think is true vs. the definition any science major would recite? Even though I an a reverend and pastor of the somewhat non-traditional variety, I believe sciences definition of evolution is accurate but with exceptions. I do not believe that one kingdom evolves to another, or maybe even the transition from kingdom to subphylum is not via standard evolutionary processes. Anyway that is the core of my idea of what evolution is. A label, although somewhat imprecise for my ideas of evolution may be ; progressive creationist. reva
Then you might have a hard time explaining the existance of endogenous retroviruses found in different species.
Your "core' is hollow. Shouldnt you at least know what it is that you dont believe, before presenting that it is not true?
Evolution,, a process which Christians (and other uninformed people) have tried to debunk for decades without much success.
Fundamentalists, not "Christians". Educated Christians dont seem to have a problem with science. And zero success, rather than "not much"; not one datum point to offer. A fact that does not seem to surprise the educated, whether Christian, atheist, Hindu, etc.
Name calling? Does the word heathen offend you? Maybe you should look it up before you get all butt hurt over it.
You have been corrected on some errors in this post, but have failed to acknowledge that in any way. What are people trying to have a conversation with you to make of that?
The only God it would be disproving is the God from the Bible who literally created man and woman from dust and a rib. I personally know many Christians perfectly happy with the concept of evolution.
Is that a serious question? Another poster just summarized it best, "The only God it would be disproving is the God from the Bible who literally created man and woman from dust and a rib."
Is there a such thing as an educated Christian who believes in a virgin conception and a resurrection?
one cannot be considered to be truly intelligent, in 2014, and still believe in such fantasies. - - - Updated - - - you used it as an offensive pejorative, cause your back is up against the wall and you decided to become uncivil.
It was a fantastic effort to judge me, but my post was a direct reply to another member, with quotes. If you can't follow A and B conversations...
Ah.....I see, you confuse Evolution with Abiogenesis. If that is the case, I suppose you have a point (though the use of the term "Heathens" does not help your seem unbiased in the least). There is very limited evidence for the Abiogenesis hypothesis, even so there is No evidence for the creation hypothesis...so this should not be seen as an attack, but the manifestation of competing hypothesis. It seems to me the issue here is less one of one hypothesis attacking the other, and more that supporters of one of them have emotional attachment to the outcome which makes them a bit overly sensitive.
don't call people who believe in Evolution "heathens", unless you wish to have your rude attitude pointed out.
