But the Biden Regime disagrees. Indeed, the administration has already appealed the grant of the preliminary injunction to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. We should not mince words here: The Biden Department of Justice is appealing to the Fifth Circuit for the “right” to jawbone putatively “private” companies into censoring disfavored online speech when it comes to certain sensitive subjects that implicate Regime priorities. That is simply astonishing. So much for “our democracy”; the Left would prefer that the “public” and “private” merge together to squash all who dare to dissent from Regime orthodoxy. In political science 101 class, most freshmen learn that this is a trademark trait not of “democracy,” but of “fascism.”

In reality, the Left’s crocodile tears about the fate of “our democracy” can be easily explained by the fact that when Democrats and left-wing activists speak of “democracy,” they really mean “progressivism.” It is quite a sleight of hand. The victim of that sleight of hand, unfortunately and ironically, is actual American democracy itself.

This Creators Syndicate mainstream conservative article carried by the Daily Caller News Foundation among many others is exactly right. It is those who claim to defend “our democracy” who are the greatest threat to real democracy as practiced in a constitutional Republic. They undermine democracy at every instant the practice of it yields a result that they don’t like.

 

Democrats mantra is their democracy yet by their secular progressive acts described by what the full article is about and describes, they threaten real democracy when its results are not to their liking. We American conservatives completely endorse all that the op Ed author has written here. Let’s protect our constitution, our Republic, and actual democracy from the progressives and the fascism they label as their “democracy”.

... OUR Constitution seems, more and more, to be at the heart of the division between tRaitor tRumps followers, real conservatives and progressives. As usual tRaitor tRump's wing of fascist conservatives are jumping all over this "social media" decision. They have to because they have so little to feel victorious about. The impetus for controlling misinformation-al posts on Twitter and other social media is to "tamp down" conflicting information from what DHH is trying to disseminate. Now, whether that's good or bad is, as we see, up to the courts. BUT! It's not indicative of some spurious challenge to OUR Constitution or freedoms.

As mandated by OUR Constitution what the Government does or tries to do is supposed to be secular. I'm thankful everyday that, SO FAR, radical right wing evangelicals have been kept from directly putting their hands on the wheel of government and steering us into the ditch of religious persecution for any that don't share their beliefs.

 

We care about our constitution and it being our rule of law in this constitutional republic of ours.

 

Our constitution just protected religious liberty in two Supreme Court cases in the recent term.

 

So is not being able to kill the kid you made when you fornicated persecution, or is it the defense of your right to life as well as the kid's?

Because, if the kid ain't viable then maybe you ain't either.

I have noted, on this board for 7 years-that those who hate trump have a really evasive habit of not specifying objective reasons why they hate trump. We hear lots about 1-6 but it all comes from those who were caterwauling about his election months or years before that.

Most of us on the right have specific arguments why we despise Democrat candidates. Tax hikes, institutionalized racial discrimination, the constant attempts to ban legal gun ownership are all things that we note. So why don't you tell me how big bad Trump actually harmed your interests

Trump PROMISED he had a better health care plan than Obamacare - then weakened Obamacare but had NOTHING to replace it with. My health insurance
rose 25% while Trump was in office.

Trump PROMISED he would get Mexico to pay for the wall - then he ended up STEALING money from the welfare of American soldiers to pay for
what little wall he did build.

Trump blew with the wind on Covid strategy and made no effort to build a coalition of governors to put together a cohesive plan for
dealing with Covid. That mishmash of policy lead to supply chain issues. Not claiming it was all his fault, but he was part of the
problem - not a solution.

Trump's inconsistent foreign policy led to uncertainty among our allies and comfort to our enemies.
Trump's killing trade negotiations with Cuba turned Cuba toward China just when we were starting to open Cuba to a positive US influence.
Trump's China Trade War has actually led to higher trade deficits.
Trump's animosity with Mexico has opened the door to Mexico for China.
