You're new here, so I'll let you in on something. Seething??? not hardly, not even close. More like laughing at your slapstick comedy. You have provided me with hours of untold entertainment about you to my friends. Thank you.......
I had to show them this thread to prove to them there was actually a CharlieChalk....one of them asked if you were really from NZ.........are you sure you're not from NZ?
    So, seething...........nope ...can't say that I am....

I have no problem with owning rifles to hunt, people do that here too, though you have to have a licence, that is completely different to owning handguns or automatic or semi automatic weapons for any reason ever, they are for use on other people, therefore should be restricted to the military and law enforcement

Time to educate the willfully ignorant: many hunting rifles (and some hunting shotguns) are semi-automatic!

    Are you intoxicated?

I use to visit my Uncles farm in Margretsville NY all the time, it was there that I learned how to shoot. In all honesty I never felt different at all, never. Some Hunting and some skeet, if there was any feelings at all it was one of frontier and marksmanship.
I later carried one for Business reasons, I had to walk through a Mall with rather large deposits for the Bank and it made me a little nervous. I'm a pacifist by nature, but not a stupid one....

So you want to force every farmer and hiker to carry a rifle to protect themselves when a good handgun would be adequate and much easier to carry? Besides, plenty of people hunt with handguns-even big game. About the only guns useless for hunting are machine guns and artillery pieces, and those are already so expensive and hard to get that there is no reason to restrict them any more than we already have.

Are you claiming an inanimate object has 'intent' now?

    His argument revolves around 0.0004%.

    I shot some semi-automatics today.

    No one died.

Some people have a dysfunctional brain. They can not comprehend what is in their face.

I bought a gun for self defense. Brushed stainless steel Ladysmith .38 with rosewood grips. But, it was a gun and..

Suddenly, I felt my voice change from mezzo soprano to tenor.
I rubbed my chin in amazement; it felt stubbly. I flex my biceps.
i feel an urge to scratch my crotch and drink beer.

Later, i was struck with what an odd paradox.

If I carry it, I dont need it; Im big, tough and smell bad; sexual assault? Ha.

But if I dont then Im back to being 110 lbs of vulnerable.

What's more exciting, a man with a big gun or a man with a small gun?
