I want to remain being white because it's part of my identity and heritage. I don't think there's anything superior in being white though - if I was born with dark skin I'd want to remain that way too, because in that case being dark skinned would be part of my identity+heritage.

If individualism means stopping parents from trying to get their children a better life I want none of it.

    Indeed.

Interesting, I thought you meant that people are nationalistic because they view their country as the parent and are as a result attached to it despite the fact that they didn't get to choose their parents.

oh, not not like that. The people -not the country mind you which isn't the same thing- ought to be viewed as an extended family, not as parents. What I meant is that while you don't have any influence over where you're born, you have your parents which explicitly want you to get a better life.

No, but I don't really care about my skin color either.

I never bought into any of that "white pride" drivel. My skin color does not define me.

I am white and I have no problem with being white. I wouldn't say that I like being white but I also wouldn't say that I dislike being white. Had God caused me to be born as another race then I wouldn't have a problem with that either.

I am definitely not a racist person. I am completely and totally against racism. After all, we all bleed red. And who cares about skin color anyway? What does skin color have to do with the type of person that you are? In my opinion, it has nothing to do with the type of person you are. In some cases a person's skin color, race, or ethnicity might be indicative of their cultural values, etc but here in the United States I don't think it normally is. I might be wrong on that though.
