The question was not about anyone wanting anything, and it was not about pros vs cons, you simply asked of people can think of any benefits, and as soon as some benefits were suggested, you came out with the "gun-banner" talk.

the people who push for registration are almost always gun banners. so I ask them why is registration a benefit for gun owners.

well the best attempt that has been made is to say in case a gun is stolen registration might get the gun back.

Ok, so the thread was never meant to discuss any potential benefits, it was always about people "pushing" or "wanting" something, or "gun banners" aka the never ending saga about how people are coming for our guns.

we wanted those numerous fans of gun registration to try to explain if there is any benefit to gun owners as opposed to the government and gun banners. Not a really hard concept to grasp

I would like to register my gun.

But, before I do, I'll need the names, dates of birth, state county and town of residence, driver's license photo copy, place of employment, location of employment, hours worked, and wife's maiden name from each and every public sector worker that has been issued a weapon by government.

That and you got to pee in a bottle.

Because, what's fair is fair. You don't want inequality, do you?

If the criminals firearm is left at the crime scene, it is usually next to the dead criminal.
