If you haven’t been living under a rock for the past 6 years, one thing you’ve noticed is how Donald Trump being elected President of the United States absolutely broke the political left in this country. Admittedly, they were not that stable of a group to begin with, so driving them crazy didn’t require much gas. That having been said, even 2 years after he left office, Donald Trump’s legacy is peeing in the Cornflakes of committed progressives from coast to coast, and it’s a glorious thing.

You may not be into schadenfreude the way I am, and for when normal people suffer I don’t recommend it. But you have to realize that leftists are horrible people actively seeking to harm this great country, so when they are miserable it is a good day for America. And this week saw the anti-American mutant army wildly miserable.

On guns, the Second Amendment means what it says, as does the 14th Amendment. It’s always amazing to me how some people can read plain words and not understand them, while at the same time create new pronouns and genders every morning they wake up and expect the world to conform to them. Language is not difficult, being an idiot is. …

    T
he author is exactly right. Trump still lives rent free in the minds of the secular progressive left urban elites. He activated a middle and working class coalition against them. His four years saved America for now. That his legacy is biting the left in the butt and restoring constitutional originalism is wonderful.

This Town Hall writer nailed it here. He is so right on in what he wrote. I could not have expressed my thoughts on these matters more perfectly than he did. Trump was right. He did the right things. His legacy is awesome.

trump will be remembered as a twice impeached fraud that installed three hyper partisan ideologues on the court who overturned historical precedent and was instrumental in destroying the public trust in numerous institutions.

The lead singer from Green Day renounced his US citizenship and is moving to England. That option is open to everyone.

It took one man to appoint three SC justices that overturned Roe. That's history making no matter what your opinion of the SC ruling happens to be. Given the fact that very few know why Bill Clinton was impeached I doubt history of Trump's impeachments will outshine the SC appointments that led to this decision.

The three candidates were chosen for him, and they were chosen for a specific purpose. Republicans have openly admitted through this that they purposely placed these justices was to overturn this particular item. If you think history is going to look back at this positively, I have my doubts. y’all basically shopped for judges and it has destroyed the courts legitimacy. Congrats, let’s see where we go from here

Why must we constantly endure opinion threads from this particular poster in the current events every damn day?

To stay on topic, Trump is a ****ing traitor and history will not be kind to him and the current GOP.

Every politician (POTUS) appoints nominees based on their political ideology. When was the last time a Democratic President nominated a conservative? And also every President uses a team of "experts" to advice them on who to select. Surely you're aware of this? I can't imagine you're naive enough not to know it.

Trumps SCOTUS will be forever remembered for holding off nominations for over a year so thr previous president couldn't appoint anyone to fill the vacancy, then getting rid of the super majority requirement for nominations, then pushing through Barret in record speed for an outgoing president.

prior to Trump, they required 60 votes, the Republican Senate changed it to 50 votes, Republicans stole the Supreme Court

when 60 votes was required, it made sure Judges were more moderate, regardless the side that picked them

Political ideology is one thing — it shouldn’t happen but it does. Those three were elected with a stated goal. That has never happened before in our history to my knowledge. trump said so during his campaign.

I love saving your quotes for future prosperity, your prior election predictions are particularly delicious.

I wonder what future events I will be able to use this quote on.

Which is why Trump lost. Why should an outgoing president be allowed to nomianatw a SCOTUS judge when the previous president wasn't allowed?

Obama was nominated for 8 years to make laws and appointments, not 7 years.

Trumps SCOTUS and his party will be remembered for crying about upholding precedence of a 10 year old gun decision while overturning a landmark case that stood for 50 years.

Sour grapes don't make for very fine whine, but perhaps Ripple is more your choice.

The Democrats led the way for that procedure back in 2013.

You really should research the subject. Other than one President nominating three, all Presidents look for candidates that closely reflect their ideology. They would be stupid not to.
