People don't stop dying because they are vaccinated. Your cousin and his mom likely would have died even had they not taken the vaccine. 5 million people die in the US every year, that's 15000 every day. Given that stat 5000 fully vaccinated people should die daily normally. It's not the vaccine killing them, it's normal life that is.
Yes, some people do have adverse reactions to the vaccine but they are rare and not deadly. There may be some deadly reactions not found but their rarity compared to the disease fatalities
is extraordinarily tiny. I'd always choose extraordinarily tiny and if nearly everyone got vaccinated then you and everyone could return to a completely normal lifestyle. By so many not getting vaccinated normalcy will take on a new definition and it's one I don't care for.
