From what I read the President has ordered his retirement.

That's not the same thing. Don't be surprised if the Presidential palace is surrounded by the military in the next few days.

Judge Mekky is one of the outspoken judges calling for independant judiciary and wants all legal loopholes used by presidents, prime ministers, bribery, etc to be closed!!

Against Mubarak era of bribed judges

    Good move

I don't think those guys will be in office after the big famine this winter. Since Egypt gets most of it's wheat and other grains from the US, it will be hard pressed to feed it's people on what little there is going to be for the prices the stuff is already commanding. The price of corn and wheat are up 50% and may go much higher as what crops there are go to market.

I figure a bunch of angry, hungry Egyptians will probably blame it all on them and ride them out on a rail.

A quart of wheat for a day's wages.

Really? US consists most of the export grain and corn to Egypt?

From what I understand, the Israelis were about a meter on the Egyptian side of the border to escort some African migrants out of Israel and this was done with the approval of the Egyptian military. Please show us a link which says that the Israelis are occupying a portion of the Sinai.
Maybe Morsi shouldn't have opened up a free border between Gaza and Egypt. Why not treat it as a real border.

Apparently that's what they are saying on the Egyptian TV to divert attention from the real news, the anti-Military coup. Guess who just got fooled, our own Abu (and the rest of the Arab street I suppose). LOL what else is new? :D

Oh, I remember Abu professing his love for the Egyptian military just a few years ago, now he is professing his love to the Muslim Brotherhood. No surprises again :D

It is yielding to the man in the power sit.
Had you lived in a dictatorship like Abu, you would have known how instinctive this becomes.
Simple evolution, the ones who did not posses that instinct did not live long enough to pass their genes to the next generation.

You are actually very wrong, survival of the slimiest is a scientifically proven extension of Darwin's theory of natural selection. It has been thoroughly researched and tested in totalitarian conditions of the Soviet Union, North Korea, Cuba, tyrannical conditions of Africa and theocratic dictatorial conditions of the Islamic/Arab world (including Egypt) and has proven to be 100% accurate. ;)

Any form of evolutionary change would would require 10's of generations in order to have minimal affects .

The fact that your so called theory requires an Orwellian totalitarian regime further proves how full of bull your theory is , because such a regime has never trully existed in the Middle east nor anywhere else in the world for that matter.

The most that can be said is that in semi-totalitarian dictatorships usually the slimiest of people gain power but then again in most governments that's also the case.

You just don't believe in science. What else is new :( LOL grow a sense of humor. :)

PS the other side of totalitarian regimes in simple terms: if you don't side with it - you are dead. That's Abu's case, he was pro-military when they were in power, he is dancing on their grave and proclaiming eternal love for the MB when they took over.

Please, what I said about totalitarian regimes applies equally to dictatorships, if you are not with them, you are dead. Abu knows! :D
