“The final poll from a definitive pollster before the Iowa caucuses on Monday shows former President Donald Trump way out in front of the GOP pack with all the momentum the day before the first votes are cast in the contest.

In second place is former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, and down in third place is Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

The poll, from Emerson College, shows Trump at 55 percent”

The final poll from one of the majors the day before the Iowa Caucus. This Breitbart news report reveals the numbers. It will be interesting to see if the severe weather affects turnout and if so who it impacts the most,

    Another respected poll has Trump 48/Haley 20/Ron D. 18

Former President Donald Trump looks to be on the verge of a historic victory in the Iowa caucuses. The final poll from Iowa’s premier pollster, Ann Selzer, has Trump at 48% followed by former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley at 20% and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis at 16%.

If the final outcome Monday night mirrors the poll, Trump will have won the highest Iowa GOP caucus vote share for a non-incumbent ever.

    Trump is'hoping to break 50%...

I think that the severe weather will cause only the most committed supporters of each to show up and that a higher percentage of Trumps voters are all in for him.

That would seem to be is focus. What is curious is that he has not mentioned the death of his mother in law or how his wife is doing with the loss.

Poll numbers are one thing and the say a lot. But the character of the man is another story. His callous indifference to how humans feel ,including his family , is astounding. If he lacks any sensitivity to his family what makes anyone think he will put the population first as in ahead of himself/??

We already know that he is extremely competitive and has to win at any cost.

T's supporters would walk on hot coals for him. He knows that. He has them wrapped around his fat little pinly.
His biggest fear would be , them waking up to the kind of sadistic con man he is.

The tragedy could be that they know what he is. As long as he's on their team they don't care.

As things stand today, we all know it’ll be Biden vs. Trump in November, primaries be danged. The big difference between the two parties is that the Republican base wants Trump while the RNC and Republican Party prefer someone else. The Democrats are just the opposite. The DNC and Democratic Party leaders want Biden, they have done everything within their power to make sure Biden wasn’t challenged by a prominent Democrat while the Democratic base would prefer someone else.

Poll: Two-thirds of Democrat-leaning voters don't want Biden as 2024 nominee

Iowa or the Iowa Republican caucus is a close caucus. Meaning one must be a registered Republican in prior to the caucus in order to participate. Registered Democrats and independents are not allowed to participate. Hence no democrat can go to the republican caucus and vote for Haley.

    It’s IOWA.

I live here ind it is one of the most right wing states in the nation. Our governor Kim Reynolds is prolly the worst governor in the country.

If one lives in an open primary state, folks just register to vote, not by party and can choose which party’s primary they vote in. Georgia where I live is an open primary state. We have no party registration; we just register to vote. In a close primary state, one registers as a republican, democrat or independent or some other political party. In those states one can only vote in the primary or caucus one is registered as. There are 31 states where one registers by party, 19 state where one just registers to vote, no party affiliation or registration.

Living in Georgia, an open primary state, where one is just registered to vote. I can choose which primary I vote in. I voted in the Democratic primary in 2020, in the republican primary in 2016. Sometimes there’s a candidate I really want to win, hence I vote for that candidate in that candidate’s primary. Other times there have been a candidate I really want to lose, then I vote against that candidate in that candidate’s primary. In other words, I’m all over the place.

And too white according to the Dems. Thats why they are skipping the in person Caucuses in Iowa to put South Carolina first.

He's truly not very bright.... he doesn't seem to realize that tonight's caucus isn't the real vote for 2024

Fascinating to see Republicans support such a cowardly loser that is so afraid to even debate his own party. It’s going to get interesting after he doesn’t have an excuse not to debate Joe.

And in the same breath his supporters will say how much he loves them. I hope this event is studied one day so it can be prevented for future generations.
