Finally a Republican talking some sense

Unfortunately there are too many of them. It amazes me that there are backers for those, like Asa Hutchinson, who have no chance at all, not even as vice president, which probably is the goal for a lot of them. Unfortunately the VP position has become the new stepping stone to the presidency, much to our disadvantage. Biden would have gotten nowhere had it not been for Obama pulling him out his nearing retirement.

Until 1960, when Nixon tried to succeed Eisenhower, most vice presidents “rode off into the sunset” never to be seen again. The one way they had any chance of becoming president was if the president died, and they got the top job.

The sheer number of challengers makes Trump’s nomination far more likely.

 

I predicted the following awhile back and I still think this is what will happen

Trump gets indicted later this year...when he is convicted he will be forced to drop out of the race

desantos promises trump a pardon and in return trump backs desantos for president

desantos wins the GOP nomination and chooses Nikki Haley as his running mate

before desantos leaves his governors position he will attempt to name of the palm beach airport to donald J trump airport

it will change from PBI to DJT

trump cannot get his face on mount Rushmore so he will be happy with an airport

Thank you for the complement. As you can see we the Democrats will cheat, we will cheat like no other. Back in 2020 Democrats didn’t have control over DOJ, FBI, but now we do along have control of them with media. We will cheat more now then 2020.

My question to you , knowing all these , why do you even care of the election 2024? Why even republican running election in 2024? The result of the election has been decided. Joe Biden will stay in WH.

It will be a race to see who will be the first to get to 1% in the Republican Primary, Sloppy Chris Christie, who had a 9% approval rating when he was Governor of New Jersey, or the little known (for a reason!) Governor of New Hampshire, Chris Sununu, who is 30 points down to me in his own State, and never lifts a finger to help anybody but himself. Both of these gentlemen are wasting their time and money, they have ZERO chance!

Politicians don't talk sense. They talk politics. Don't think it is sensible just because the politics appeals to you.

 

Makes a lot of political sense for him, he's young and one of America's favorite governors who has garnered Independent and moderate democrat voters in N.H.
Wait until the toxic Trump stench starts to dissipate, he's got time.

Sununu would most likely be drowned out by Christie.

'On the same day Pence filed his paperwork, New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu, who was weighing a bid, said he is not running for president.


“Too many other candidates who have entered this race are simply running to be Trump’s vice president. That’s not leadership; that’s weakness,” Sununu said in an opinion piece in the Washington Post.

“Too many candidates are afraid to confront Trump, surrendering to his attacks. I will have more credibility speaking out against Trump as a non-candidate to help move the conversation toward the future I believe the Republican Party should embrace.”

Can't argue with that. In a way I hope that the indictments end the Trump presidential run. The trouble is, I don't want the Biden Justice Department telling the American voters who is available on the presidential ballot.

If you are a Democrat, you got a taste of what the FBI can do to you when James Comey kept dangling Hillary Clinton in the wind in 2016. In one way he had a point, but it's the opposition who needed to get the goods on her. Government bureaucrats should not be involved in presidential politics except to cast their vote.

 

So when a Presidential Candidate breaks the law, law enforcement should just ignore it?

 

Trump is clearly leading the current candidates by 20 points or more. At this point, it’s easy to assume he’s the front runner and will be running for president against Joe Biden again. I don’t think many Americans actually want this **** show again.

I also know that if it is Biden v. Trump Part II, then there is only one sane vote and it sure as hell is not for Trump.

 

The law is not being applied equally. You and I shall disagree on that issue. You hate Trump. I only think that his personality is not suited to be president.

 

I agree. The laws are not applied equally ..politicians have been skirting around laws since the country was founded ..where as the regular taxpayer has been held to a higher standard than all politicians

If trump was still just a game show host he would have been arrested long ago and most likely be behind bars this very moment

I liked trump as a game show host. He did a fine job as an entertainer

but as a politician trump has been a disaster ..

the proof is that he is being indicted. Good politicians don’t get indicted despite they may very well be criminals

Why? Trump should be your dream candidate. His popular vote is probably stuck at about 45% because his political brand name has been made so toxic. His chances of taking Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin are almost nil. If a Republican can’t take those states, his chances of winning the presidency are almost nil. He’s the best shot you have in getting “senile Joe” re-elected.

Of course re-electing Joe Biden is the same as voting for Kamala Harris. Biden can’t last for five and a half more years. He can barely walk, and he can’t talk to the press or give press conferences. His mental state has seriously declined since he took office.

 

I like Biden, but I do not know why he is running for re election. He does not need the money. He deserves a comfortable retirement.
