Health officials in Washington state said on Saturday a coronavirus patient has died, NBC affiliate KING in Seattle reported.
The death is the first from coronavirus illness COVID-19 in the United States.

The U.S. so far has 66 cases of coronavirus, which includes 9 people who have recovered and four “presumptive” cases, which are those that tested positive in local tests with confirmation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention pending.

So? The USA has the 1st coronavirus death.

Are any of you expecting more victims?

Or do you feel that Trump's "response" is adequate?

Hopefully, this will be the ONLY death.

My heart goes out to the victim.

    Will Trump get his "Miracle"?

    Thoughts?

I'm far more worried about lyme disease than the corona virus.

I think the President should declare Marshall law. We should not be letting people it or out of the entire west coast

    You may have a point.

Besides, you can't have a corona without a lyme:

I'm not. I live in California where there are a ton of neo-commies who are invested in the spread of the virus and creating panic. The same people who hide hurricane relief from hurricane victims are totally willing to spread a virus.

You should definitely re-prioritize your threat analysis.

    Found the conspiracy theorist.

But, I got 10:1 odds that says Trump tries to cancel the election in California out of an alleged fear that the virus will spread.

It certainly did not take long for the whole host of posters from this thread who trotted out the "there are zero deaths in the US, so calm down" line to need immediate revision.

One person out of 66 known cases (there are at least four cases where the cause is not travel related) matches the mortality rate seen elsewhere of ~2%.

This post appears to be an effort to troll or to make light of a dead US citizen.

Looks like CNN is just as worried about Bernie Sanders as the Corona Virus.....

Maybe people would have been more prepared if they'd given it more coverage instead of showing meaningless political fights like Nancy tearing up a speech or Trump x or y...

Not at all, his death is tragic. How do you think the president should respond then? You don’t want this to spread do you?

Yay for the political Left's open borders concept! Y'all are doing one hell of a job for the HEALTH of this nation . . . literally.

And honestly this rises above politics and making it political is pretty scummy imo

Bickering over if Trump should've said more or less is not helpful imo. There's really no good way to handle a pandemic is there?

It's kinda like your grandma gets cancer do you tell her or not? Either way she's gonna get sick

Umm, no. Where I live the threat of lyme disease is far greater. Besides, I'd rather die relatively quickly than spend a lifetime miserable with lyme disease. And I have no doubt I would survive if I caught corona virus.

Your beliefs have no basis in objective reality.

It scares me that people can have so much hate in them that they believe the things that you post on this forum.

Whatever Trump does, they'll call it inadequate and then a couple hours later they'll say it's an overreaction.

Dems will do what they always do: play politics and not give a damn about Americans.

It appears to rise to 1 out of 5 for individuals who are over the age of 80 and with one of several co-factors.

Is it? The political Left is trying to terrify this nation over the Corona Virus and yet still insists upon keeping the open borders concept alive and well for Politically Correct reasons; regardless of how many citizens that puts at risk. Many people find that to be interesting.
