We were told by this fool that we wouldnt see good rain again and that dams would never fill. Yet here we are with another summer of floods. Why is it that we pay this fool.

When did Tim Flannery ever say "that we wouldnt see good rain again and that dams would never fill"

I think you are mistaking something Alan Jones told you as "fact" again. That is a big mistake to make.

Perhaps you could find this quote from Prof Flannery for us?

    Could you do that?

You are not right - you are only parroting something Jonesy told you.
    Pretty pathetic really.

There is ONE liar on the aussie forum bugs and that is YOU.

Flanney said in 2007 that we would never see dam filling rains again.

I dont care that it goes against your agenda of lying to the public, i will tell the truth UNLIKE YOU.

Perhaps you could show us this quote then please.

    But you can't

You need to understand that you can't come on here repeating something Alan Jones told you and pretend it is the truth. It isn't

Please apologise to the forum for using it to spreading lies

Two more links that do not show any quote of Flannery saying "that we wouldnt see good rain again and that dams would never fill" - or anything similar to that.

It appears you are not being exactly honest.

Please show us where he is supposed to have said this or apologise to the forum for spreading silly lies.

Perhaps you could show us some evidence of this quote from 2007? Could you do that?

You have tried 3 times now and failed.

Are you sure you have this right?

it seems you have a reading and comprehension problem

Perhaps it's time to visit one of the dire predictions of Tim Flannery, Climate Commissioner (salary $180,000 for 3 days work), from 2007:

“Even the rain that falls isn’t actually going to fill our dams and river systems. In Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane, water supplies are so low they need desalinated water urgently, possibly in as little as 18 months.”

yes bugs i will accept that apology.

    Still no link I see?

Why not? Embarrassed that you are misinterpreting an out-of-context remark - just because Alan Jones told you to?

THIS is what Flannery ACTUALLY said:

PROFESSOR TIM FLANNERY: We're already seeing the initial impacts and they include a decline in the winter rainfall zone across southern Australia, which is clearly an impact of climate change, but also a decrease in run-off. Although we're getting say a 20 per cent decrease in rainfall in some areas of Australia, that's translating to a 60 per cent decrease in the run-off into the dams and rivers. That's because the soil is warmer because of global warming and the plants are under more stress and therefore using more moisture. So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems, and that's a real worry for the people in the bush. If that trend continues then I think we're going to have serious problems, particularly for irrigation.
    http://www.abc.net.au/landline/content/2006/s1844398.htm

The recent La Nina does not change any of this.

Tim Flannery did not ever say "that we wouldnt see good rain again and that dams would never fill"

If you want to quote Flannery - then quote Flannery. DO NOT quote what Alan Jones told you Flannery said. It is wrong.

At the time, no one believed we would see good rain. We were in a drought for so many years it was surprising when it did rain so much.

We are a country of flood and drought, that will always be the case and it has nothing to do with the AGW hoax.

Climate change exists. Why did we have a massive storm on Christmas Day? Why was this summer one of the coldest on record? Why is it 30 degrees in winter and 15 degrees in summer?

I believe global warming exists, we just haven't seen the worst of it yet.

That is another one of Joneseys is it!!!!

The planet is warming. That is beyond doubt.

The last decade was the warmest decade ever recorded. The current La Nina is the warmest La Nina ever recorded.

There has been warming in the last 15 years.

What prediction did he make that was wrong?

We have already established that you were lying when you said he said:
"that we wouldnt see good rain again and that dams would never fill"

So what did he actually predict?

And please refer to what Flannery said - not what Jones told you he said.

    Could you do that?

No - it wasn't surprising to see rain again. ENSO is a well known phenomena. The difference however is the intensity that ENSO seems to be taking on. This last La Nina is not only the strongest ever recorded (most positive SOI) - but also the warmest ever recorded. This comes after the last devastating El Nino. When El Nino returns (as it will soon) - everything points to some very bad drought conditions

And as Flannery said - the impact of lesser rainfall is magnified in a warming environment:

Although we're getting say a 20 per cent decrease in rainfall in some areas of Australia, that's translating to a 60 per cent decrease in the run-off into the dams and rivers.

Bugs you FAIL. You are a LIAR, and you have no idea on climate science. You constantly regurgitate the party line all the while having no idea on the FACTS.

THERE HAS BEEN NO WARMING TREND IN THE LAST 15 YEARS.
CO2 DOES NOT CAUSE GLOBAL WARMING OR CLIMATE CHANGE.
