Florida officials are preparing 'contingency plans' for a possible Trump indictment from New York, report says
I didn't know that DeSantis could step in. I wonder if he would. Is this little gem the reason Trump relocated to the Sunshine State?

    What do you think?

I imagine DeSantis would do something stupid like that. If he did, Trump would become a virtual prisoner in FL. Trump certainly would not be able to run for POTUS.

Maybe they can do it during the summer months while he is living in NJ

DeSantis does not want him to run for POUTS, he wants to run for POTUS. Keeping Trump out of jail would almost guarantee him the MAGA vote.

I think he would try some kind of publicity stunt to make it look like he's willing to step in, but I don't know how far he'd actually go beyond making a lot of noise.

As much as it is deserved, they will never "perp walk" a former POTUS.

What is the name of the primary source for this claim?

So what? What is the NAME of the primary source(s) who is making this claim. I don't care who repeats it. Who made it? Are you able to recognise the distinction between primary and secondary sources?

True, but there's a world of difference between a perp walk and trying to prevent/avoid interstate extradition....

Kyle the Klown tried to prevent being extradited from Illinois to Wisconsin, but that failed...

This will too, if it comes to it....

I'm personally a little mystified why Georgia hasn't already indicted TFG for solicitation of election fraud... It's not like we all didn't (or couldn't) hear the audiotape of him threatening Raffensperger with legal action (or worse) if he didn't find the exact number of votes required....

I still bet Georgia strikes first.... it's a much easier case to understand than anything NY has..

No need to get defensive. How many of these wild stories about Trump do we have to see before we start noting that a sizeable amount of them are just bald-faced lies? Further, in many cases, other news sources quickly "confirm" the unnamed sources to give the appearance of separate and independent "confirmation". Later when the entire falls apart, I see no evidence that anyone who ran with this story is upset at all with the sources that "mislead" them. A bunch of news folks being partisan liars is one thing, but, our FBI and DOJ used the same tactics to repeatedly fool a FISA court into authorizing spying on a Presidential Campaign and even a Presidential Administration. We only know about that because Trump was elected. Had Hillary been elected we will still be unaware that this went on. How often? They all seem to be well practiced at it.

So, absent any other accountability, we do what we can, which is at least SPOT that the story we are looking at, is again, based on these widely discredited unnamed sources.

Do you deny that your claim is based on unnamed sources?

So, this is how things are going to work. You don't talk down to me and I won't have to give it back to you. If you can get on that plan, we're fine.

I am not a news reporter so I don't sit up for hours tracing the steps of every article I post. I make sure that it's posted on several sites and I post it. I am not a D or an R so I post what I find interesting and what I want to talk to other posters about. All of you always have the option to not respond if you don't like or post hateful comments if you want. Matters not to me.

You falsely charge me, so retract.
    No one claimed you were.
I verified that this was yet another one of these "unnamed sources" crappers in a minute or so. Here's how to keep from being made a fool by these lies any further, we are going on 5 years of this crap, there is nothing wrong with spotting that you are getting hosed and taking simple observational steps. First, think: What is the claim being made, and who made it? That's all.
    Again, not the point.
    Again, not the point.
Again, not the point. I find your posts neither unlikeable nor hateful. In fact, your demeanor is generally mature and friendly and usually an open invitation for discussion. Which is perfectly proper, as is my point to you: Did you notice that this is yet another of these "unnamed source" clickbait stories with nothing backing it up?

The second step, after identifying the source is to assess their credibility and the likelihood that they would be in the position to be a primary source for the claim they are putting forward.

In this case you can't even identify the source so you have no information at all on their credibility and likelihood that the would have first hand knowledge of their claims.

Quite frankly, with the complete lack of angst by these "reporters" who are repeatedly hosed by "unnamed sources", I think it's possible that their claims are complete fabrications by the reporter.

    What do you think?

If the attack on Trump appears political, then it should be smashed.

It's weird not seeing the Clintons and their Foundation receive the same treatment. Everyone knows it was dirty from start to finish.

There is no way in hell a state can prevent the feds from nabbing a criminal for federal crimes, that's nuts.

An indictment from Cy Vance would be Manhattan, not the Federales...

It's not even technically New York State jurisdiction, but I think that's splitting hairs...

    Totally .

Just like "Everyone Knows that 2+2=5".
    ^Trump "Logic".:bored:

    Anyway, back to the OP:

DeSantis is capable of anything, if he thinks that he can get the Trump Vote.

But if DeSantis helps keep T**** out a legal situation (temporarily at best) and the Teflon Don escapes justice, won't T**** get the T**** vote?

Seems like a Catch-22 to me.... DeSantis wants to APPEAR to be gumming up the works, but I suspect he'll be the one to personally escort T**** to the state line when the time comes...

He might delay the arrest for a few days. That would give Trump enough time to gather all his loyal supporters like the Proud Boys, 3 percenters, Marie Green, Bieber, etc down to Mar A Lago to defend him.

Then we can end this Branch Dividian style. :chainsaw: (obviously kidding)
