Ah, I posted the stats from the FBI and the eurostat :)

Sorry to violate one of the basic rules in the internet post the links of the sources :)

I posted my source as well.

If you read any of those statistic reports in detail you will also read about the qualifying statements. That explains any difference.

Then, how do you explain the discrepancy between our rape statistics? Garlic charm?

I won't be commenting on the notoriety of hygiene in France.

You can't really compare statistics between countries because of the way crimes are reported. One country may count 911 statistics while the other is reporting police reports, or worse, convictions. That's why Interpol no longer reports the comparative figures to the public anymore. And with rape especially, many crimes simply go unreported. With no guns available to women in France, perhaps they fear more of reprisals than American women.

Suffice it to say that in the US, a woman is far less likely to be a victim if she carries a firearm.

Well, that's good news (the fact that we can't compare stats) because it was becoming a bit of a bore - such as a dick contest; but I regret your lack of comment on French hygiene.

To conclude, it seems that you feel safer with a gun (can't blame you, as guns are very common where you live); and that I feel safer living amidst an un-armed citizenry in a crowded city.

    French bashing can resume.

I see that you decided to play victim and retreat. How French of you.

But others are armed in your crowded, sweltering city, They have fists, feet, knives and gasoline. Sleep tight my friend.

Are you for real? You started showing bogus stats. We corrected you. And when you realised your stats were worse than ours. You said we can't compare stats. How old are you? Are you challenged?

I have fists and feet, too. However, I don't carry any knife or gasoline can. I would, if needed, but I prefer to use my sharp tongue and igniting brain - something which seems to be sorely lacking on your side. Sorry, but sleep tight indeed.

You can't be a real Gaulliste today, thing have change; but Sarkozy is the more near, he is inspired by De Gaulle. Don't say that Hollande is more Gaulliste than Sarkozy... That's to ridicul... Hollande should not be president; he haven't be do for that, is weak, not enough clever...
And people in left can't be gaulliste! Their idea aren't similar to De Gaulle's ideas. Gaulliste are in the right.

Always the same criticism for Sarkozy... I just see that he have been a very great president; if he had make mistake, that's not a problem, that's a person as you and me, he isn't perfect, and that's not what we ask to him. He have been great for France, he was an exellent president, so, I say thanks to him.
Your article is just a resentuful article who forget all Sarkozy's benefactions (and there's a lot).

Sarkozy isn't patriot for you? Why? He was, or he imited it very well.
    And see Hollande...

You're speaking about the system of now? If this is that, I'm all right with you: Hollande's system don't reward talented people, he make them flee. That's an other reason why Hollande's idea are bad for the country.

I am talking about neoliberalism and capitalism. A system that reward more to unproductive people than the productive.

And Hollande does not represent a system, is just a small reformist in the capitalism.

Same here in Belgium -- or the difference between a salary or welfare is to small...

Although, it is far more difficult "to commit fraud" in Europe than in the UK and USA... :omg:

    Vive la France!

As a fellow European I'm just glad that France -- after an almost 20 years of absence -- is returning to the centre of Europe and to be an active player, instead of a "follower" (e.g. Merkozy, was always more Merkel than Sarko).

Great things can happen when France takes the lead, at least in European affairs!

BTW -- I believe Hollande is a politician first and foremost, he still has to learn how to be President of the Republic, e.g. during Tour de France a couple of days ago (Brive-La-Gaillarde) he was parading his ass off... trying to be "Mr. Normal".

I laughed my ass off, and my mother was looking at me and asked: "Jan, what's so funny -- hmmm?""

So your Jean-Claude Van Damme now. I'm impressed. How many cars were burned in Paris so far this year?

Let talk then of the daily raising part of the US population having lost their house from corrupt bankers and sleeping in their cars

People speaking french in the world outside France is a sign of good and high level of education , english not ^^

Why would I want to talk about a corrupt US economy, other than to criticize it?

I see you need to converse in English on this board. Why is that? I suppose it could be that the majority of people outside of France prefer to speak English, even if it is a harder language to learn. Clearly something has gone wrong with the French attempt to change the world's premier language. It's not surprising really, when initiated by a General who never led an army.

    Speaks for itself, doesn't it?

That would depend on which chart you choose to illustrate. Try finding the one I posted, then come back.
