    Incorrect.
    It does not.
My story is not about your conception of Creationists.
That is 100% in your mind and not in my story.
All Creationists are nor clones -- not identical. The Creationist
in my story was the kind of Creationist that was a creative
    independent thinker.
I am a Creationist and I do NOT believe in a talking snake.
That has zero to do with my story.
Also many Creationists believe in a Local Flood and NOT
in a "Whole World Flood" and therefore do NOT believe that
Noah put "billions" of animals on the ark -- rather only those
FEW animals that were in Noah's local area.
But it did take place and the Creationist is my story was
a different kind of Creationist than the one that exits in
    your mind.

Creationism is Christian fundamentalism. One of its tenants is the literal interpretation of the Bible.

A scientist expresses doubt regarding a well-known process of evolution and poses a question to a creationist about it?
    That's comical.

    I disagree.
The story in the OP is of such spiritual value as to prevent any
part of the story being comical.

    I especially liked this part:

Scientist: Can you give an example of Christianity's simplicity?

Creationist: A man known to be a brilliant intellectual was asked to deliver a speech to
a college assembly and he was asked to present the most profound truth he had ever
come across in his decades of studies. When the time came for his speech, he walked
to the podium and looked out over the audience for a long time, without saying a word.
Time passed and people began to get nervous. At long last the speaker spoke and he
said this, "Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so." Then without saying
another word he went back to his seat. Many in the audience wept silently as the
supernatural power of the Holy Spirit made that brief message real to their hearts.

You seem to think that just because you say something that makes it true. Your summations based on your supposition and conjecture laden scenarios are none-the-less based on the same mind set of that of the creationist....that the Bible is correct because it says so....strange that, as another poster points out that a true creationist would not act as your story portrays. Reminds me of the old song, "Jesus loves me, this I know. Because the Bible tells me so."

Now by the same token, many scientists have faith in the "scientific method", and dismiss any other explanations to life's mysteries no matter how plausible.

I have stated exactly why I disagree with you....no misunderstanding on my part. And as the chronology of the posts show, your condescending attitude towards all who challenge the OP in any fashion is plain to see for the objective reader (there's more than one way to skin a cat, as they say). Your "story" reeked of it. Oh, and calling someone "kid" is not condescending....I just assume I'm older than the person I'm conversing with. But since you think quoting Bible verses to back up your assertions and claims, you come off like every other "bible thumper" I've come across in life. Just saying.

Faith is a nice thing...but it doesn't always stand up to scrutiny. That goes for the scientist and the religious.

You seem to think that just because you say something that
makes it true -- see your posts in this thread.
    False.
Your personal understanding of what you call a "creationist"
has got nothing to do with my story in my OP
This is a separate issue and has nothing to do with your personal
opinions about what you think about "Creationists."

The Bible is most certainly true because it says so and I proudly hold
this position and will do so until the end of days. See 2 Timothy 3:13-17

    The other poster was incorrect.
The other poster is an atheist and is strongly biased and prejudiced
against Christianity and so anything he says on the subject is
untrustworthy and unreliable as a source of truth.

Do you understand the simple concept of "enemy"?
    You understand this below?
    The Joker vs. Batman
    Lex Luthor vs. Superman
    Patton vs. Rommel
    Trump vs. Biden

Please allow me to inform you that we are NOT "all one big
happy family" here inside Thread World on the Internet At Large,
and not in Washington D.C. either -- and not anywhere in the
world. "I came not to bring peace but a sword:__The Lord Jesus
    "Sword" is a metaphor.

The old song was exactly correct as you will discover in due time.
    Agreed.
I have stated exactly why I disagree with you.
Also my view is that you do not understand the OP and do not
    understand Christianity.
    False.
    My attitude is not condescending.

You are no Authority on what is, or is not, condescending.

Also the vast majority of the atheists that post in this
Religion Department of the Forum are strongly biased
and prejudiced against Christianity and so their "challenges"
regarding my story in my OP are based upon their biases
and prejudices against Christianity and are not to be
    considered trustworthy.

I have 8 of them on Ignore and never see their posts.
    ``
    False.
    Your posts reek of Liberalism.
    False.
    It was in fact condescending.

    I do not believe you.
I believe you meant your remark in a condescending manner.
Just as I believe you meant this remark in a condescending
    manner:

"GMAFB with this evangelical BS! Reads like
the text from a Chic comix episode."___Kungfuliberal

And I shall proudly do that for as long as I live.
By the way, there is no Force drawing you to my OP's or to my
posts. If you do not like to read posts written by people that
believe the Bible is true -- then there is no Force drawing you
to my OP's or to my posts.
There you go with more of your condescending remarks.
I am not a "Bible thumper" anymore than you are a "Liberal
thumper" -- I know for a fact that you have at least some
written sources that you quote or make reference to -- so I
am no more a "Bible thumper" than you are a "Liberal
thumper." You "thump" your sources too.
Whose scrutiny? Your scrutiny? My view is that your "scrutiny"
is saturated with your Liberal biases and prejudices and is
    therefore unreliable.

    Best.

He said it is the same circular reasoning mindset that creationists hold, and it is. Not that you would ever listen to me, because you (not me or anyone else) have declared us enemies and think you are at war (with people you also say dont exist).

But you are not condescending or hostile at all. You are a victim. Woe is you.

This is pure adhominem. If the same challenges came from his fellow believers then they would make more sense? This is cult mentality.

This fear of the contrary point of view tells us much more about JAG than about these people he put on ignore because he "can't trust their challenges". He posts aggressive (if nonsensical) challenges to atheists and then gloats about ignoring most of them. Its the equivalent of screaming insults at somebody with your fingers on your ears and thinking yourself bold.

I would like to remind my fellow atheists here that this is NOT representative of all Christians or all theists, and that we should not generalize to them from this behaviour.

    1. Pretty lame retort to mock someone....shows you really have nothing of value or acceptability to offer to the objective reading audience .

    2. Are you saying that your story does not contain a character of creationist bent or influence? If so, then you need to rewrite it. And given your inability to properly create a character who reflects the reality of creationist vs. scientist, you're hardly one to assert you understand what I'm saying in response (this is the 2nd time you try to make me the point of contention here, where as YOU created this thread and are upset if one applies critical thinking to it).

    3. And there lies the rub....because by that "logic" any fool can write a book on any subject and then claim the book proves itself, regardless of outside life facts. Again, quoting a verse just compounds this conundrum of yours. But then again, faith abandons logic and reason at some point.

    4. this is hysterical...the other poster is incorrect on all levels because he's an atheist, while anything you post is correct because you're religious? Once again, convoluted logic of faith doesn't cut it here. I would say that to an atheist also, as they are prone to see the scientific method with equal "faith". See #3.

    5. Ahh, but YOU created a character that does NOT take the Bible literally, as the other poster pointed out. That you are now pushing a metaphor doesn't erase the consequence of such notions. Do you understand the simple concept of "FAITH DOES NOT EQUAL RIGHT"? Nor should it be a justification for theocracy. The world is full of those, and the Christian history of such ain't exactly squeaky clean.

    6. BECAUSE YOU HAVE FAITH THAT IT WILL? Sorry, but the world is a matter of history that shows such is not necessarily so. See #3.

    7. And here's the contradiction/hypocrisy of your stance. It's okay for YOU to treat a "belief" as a reality without proof, but not okay for someone else who has a different belief from yours. that you can't/won't acknowledge this means you are incapable of understanding such or you're insipidly stubborn.

    8. So YOU appoint yourself an "authority", based on your "faith" in a book that proves itself without real life or logical proof. Fascinating.

    9. Ahhh, so "liberalism" is now atheistic in your mindset? Fascinating...given that the New Testament is loaded with a character who was chocked full of "liberal" ideas for his time. The signs are coming clearer with each post of yours.

    10. If you say so. I usually use other words to be condescending, as the monitors on various subjects have told me. But in the spirit of debate, I'll refrain from using it with you.

    11. See #10. And given some of your responses here, my original assessment of the OP remains solid.

    12. And therefore the shoe fits. See # 1 - 11. If you post, you are bound to get responses....not all in agreement. If you can't stand a little critical thinking and honest debate, then IA me.

    13. I stated you come off as one. Subsequently, you keep putting out similar rhetoric. Oh, and that's a pretty piss poor retort, as "bible thumper" refers to a particular class of evangelical christian who preached from tree stumps and constructed platforms, slapping the book while quoting scripture to support every contention out of their mouths. Last time I checked, there is no such central "scripture" or "bible" for political and social liberals to "thump". If you know different, please share (seriously). And remember, your OP was about creationist vs. scientist, NOT religious conservatism vs. everyone else (or specifically "liberals"

    14. Well my friend, the definition of scrutiny involves critical observation or examination. When you scrutinize something, the rational person uses facts and logic, critical thinking with a dose of the common sense God gave them. You posted your fable, and it was scrutinized by myself and others and came up lacking. Judging from your responses here, you're essentially just another conservative evangelical christian doing his proselytizing. I don't expect you to cop to any definition I discern about what you post....I just wanted to see where the discussion would lead. Pretty much where I expected. Carry on.

    You were not mocked.
Mocked is your incorrect interpretation of my reply to your
"You seem to think that just because you say something that

I have the right to make the same reply to you, and I did
    when I said , , ,

"You seem to think that just because you say something that
makes it true -- see your posts in this thread.__JAG

    False.

    , , , LOL , ,
"objective reading audience" is an absurd notion.
    You mean objective like this:
"GMAFB with this evangelical BS! Reads like
the text from a Chic comix episode."___Kungfuliberal
Yeah that's really some "objective reading audience" isn't it.

Not to mention that most of the readers in this thread claim they
are committed to atheism and are about as objective as is Lex Luthor
when Lex evaluates Superman or The Joker when he evaluates Batman.

    No
    False.
You are no authority on the reality of creationist vs, scientist.
    Mere opinion.
    Incorrect too.
"GMAFB with this evangelical BS! Reads like
the text from a Chic comix episode."___Kungfuliberal
    False on 2 counts.
    {1} I am not upset
{2} There is no critical thinking going on here ---rather Liberal biases
and Liberal prejudices and Liberal presuppositions -- along with
    some anti-Christian atheist biases.
    I have no conundrum. Zero.
You are not my authority on faith and logic.
What you call "circular reasoning" is required of the Bible believing
Christian. Christianity demands that we Christians believe the Bible
is true --- so the Bible is true because the Bible says that it is true.
    is a true Christian belief.
Here is the Biblical text on that , , ,

"evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and
being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have
learned and have become convinced of, because you know those
from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have
known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise
for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus
    . All Scripture is
    God-breathed
and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting
and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God
may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
    ___ 2 Timothy 3:13-17

Anyone that does not want to read OP's or posts written by Christians
that believe the Bible is true --can go to other threads and read behind
people that do NOT believe the Bible is true.

But it most certainly is NOT some weird or strange belief for Christians
to believe the Bible is true. All Bible believing Christians believe the Bible
is true. If the Bible is not true, then there is no reason for anyone to be a
Christian and to believe in say John 3:16 which is Christendom's most
famous Bible verse and is the core and the heart and soul of the Christian
    Faith.

    So?

So you can naturally expect all Bible believing Christians to believe the Bible
is true and believe that John 3:16 is true.
    John 3:16
{1} believe and get Eternal Life
{2} refuse to believe and perish

    False.
I have my views and the atheists have their views.
They generally believe what I post is false.
I generally believe what they post is false.
Christians and atheists have very little in common
on the subjects I select for my OP's and my follow-up
    posts.
    It is a true , , ,
    The Joker vs, Batman situation
    and a true , , ,
    Lex Luthor vs, Superman situation
    and a true , , ,
    Rommel vs, Patton situation
Once again you are not my authority on faith and logic.
    Noted
I will create any kind of character I want to create and whether he
takes the Bible literally has nothing to do with my story. I believe the
Bible is true but I do not believe in a talking snake and I do not have
to believe in a talking snake in order to believe the Bible is true.
Many Christians believe the Bible is true who believe in Theistic
    Evolution.
I will push any kind of metaphor that I desire to push. You don't have to
read my story. Was there some force drawing you to this thread? I mean
your original outburst was pretty plain regarding your Liberal biases
    and your anti-Evangelical insults when you said this , , , , , ''
"GMAFB with this evangelical BS! Reads like
the text from a Chic comix episode."___Kungfuliberal

YOU are NOT my authority on anything , , zero , , and most certainly
YOU are NOT my authority on Faith and what is Right. Do you
    understand that?
    Agreed.
I do not want a theocracy.
    Neither is Liberalism squeaky clean.
    False.
    And totally False too.
I have no hypocrisy on this issue.
Those that disagree with me have the same right to advance their
beliefs on Faith as I do.
    False.
I am no authority on anything. Nothing.
    False.
I never said it was the same as atheism.
    .
Because YOU claim that, does not mean it is a fact.
Your opinion and nothing more than your opinion.
    False.
    It does not remain solid,
It remains what it always was, namely a rude and discourteous
comment and a biased slur against Christian Evangelicalism.
"Bible thumpers" they are, you said, right?

"GMAFB with this evangelical BS! Reads like
the text from a Chic comix episode."___Kungfuliberal

By the way, you want to post in the thread what you meant
when you said "GMAFB" " ? And what does your "BS"
stand for? Or are you going to "clean it up" by substituting
nicer words for the "F' and the "S" letters?
That is a sword that cuts both ways.
    Pot - kettle
I can very easily stand anything you post. I have been on the
web a loooong time and on boards with no moderation and
    I have very thick skin.

    Honest debate?
    You mean stuff like this?

"GMAFB with this evangelical BS! Reads like
the text from a Chic comix episode."___Kungfuliberal

    Critical thinking?
    You mean stuff like this?

"GMAFB with this evangelical BS! Reads like
the text from a Chic comix episode."___Kungfuliberal

Also you stated up-post that you were CORRECT when
    you said , ,

"GMAFB with this evangelical BS! Reads like
the text from a Chic comix episode."___Kungfuliberal

    So?

So you are "doubling down" on your rude insulting remark.

You keep putting out Liberal rhetoric.
Yeah that tells me all I need to know about your "objectivity"
towards Bible believing Christians -- just more Liberalism
    is what it is.
I already told you that Liberals have their favorite Liberal books
written by their favorite Liberal writers that they "thump" all the
time in posts on the Internet and in conversation.
    Am I your friend?
You are not my authority on critical observation.
You posted your so called scrutiny and it came up lacking.
And I am PROUD of it. What do you think the bolded red
    below mean?

"Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain
where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him,
they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus
came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and
on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and
    make disciples of all nations,
    baptizing them in the
name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have
commanded you. And surely I am with you always,
to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:16 19

As a Christian I have an obligation to God to "go
and make disciples of all nations" --- and so what
YOU call "proselytizing" is a GOOD thing for me to
do and I will continue doing that until I die,

The attempted slight of hand proselytizing was exactly as I said....reminiscent of a Chic comic (anyone who's been exposed to one of those in a bus or train depot know of what I speak). Your condescending attitude via biblical quotations to support your allegations and assertions are no more or less insulting than how you label those not of your faith or belief. Feigning insult and trying to isolate that from the rest of our exchanges is just smoke blowing because you've got nothing but what I previously described...and you prove that with each response. So unless you've got something new besides a regurgitation of previous post or another dodge like this one, I'm moving on. You may proceed with the predictable.

    False nonsense.
There was NEVER any "attempted slight of hand" --rather I
BOLDLY and PROUDLY practice what YOU call proselytizing
and I will BOLDLY and PROUDLY proceed to CONTINUE
to practice what you call proselytizing until the end of days.

I follow my Lord Jesus and I do NOT follow YOU and the
Lord Jesus told His followers to go into all the world and
preach the gospel in Mark 16:15 and He said go and make
disciples of all the nations in Matthew 28:18-20 --- and
therefore I will do my best to obey the Lord Jesus and I
will pay zero attention to your objections and insults.

More false nonsense from a Liberal and an anti-Evangelical Liberal
too.. You have shown your true colors in this thread.
    You said I was , , ,

"just another smug tree stump preacher"___Kungfuliberal

Your posts reek of insults and name calling.

"GMAFB with this evangelical BS! Reads like
the text from a Chic comix episode."___Kungfuliberal

    More false Liberal anti-Evangelical nonsense.
I shall continue to quote the Bible as being true and if you do
not like it, you do not have to read what I write.
If you are insulted by me quoting the Holy Bible as being true
then you do not have to read my OP's or my posts. Is there
some FORCE drawing you to my threads?
And YOU are sure one to accuse others of having a
condescending attitude --- your posts reek with
condescending attitudes and hypocrisy and with
    PERSOMNAL INSULTS.

    You said I was , , ,

"just another smug tree stump preacher"___Kungfuliberal

    More false nonsense.
    More false nonsense.
    More false nonsense.
    Good.
I thought we had already said our final goodbye but apparently
not. Maybe this post will ACTUALLY be our final goodbye.
    I HOPE it will be.
    I'm moving on"___KFL

I don't need YOUR permission to procced with anything.

From Atheism To Faith In God ~ The Unbelieving Scientist And The Creationist.
wHAT ABOUT THE THOUSANDS OF CHRISTIANS WHO HAVE ABANDONED THEIR FAITH.

No mention of them. You don't debate. You ignore proven facts that don't suit your position. All your posts are simply proselytising.

Jag quote.
    Evolution.

If you believe the Bible is true then you must believe in talking snakes and donkeys. The only other alternative is to say it is not literally true. Then it's all down to interpretation. Yours or thousands of others who have left the faith.

I see you did not keep to what you said. You said "I'm moving on"
and yet here you are still in the thread and still using ad hominem
and still personally insulting other posters with new and fresh
    insults and name-calling.

You write insulting ad hominem posts. You practice name-calling
in the context of claiming to engage in critical analysis.

Everybody knows that your post up there was written about me
personally and so you have called me other insulting names.

You said about me , ,
    "this koker"___Kungfuliberal

You said about me that I was a , ,
    "jack leg wanna be preacher"___Kungfuliberal

You clearly and strongly implied that I am a
    "babbling fool"___Kungfuliberal

    You specifically called me a , ,

You originally came into my thread and without provocation posted
an insulting remark with vulgarity, you said , ,

Well, you are insulting the intelligence of all posters by ignoring what you don't want to believe, and putting on ignore those who tell you the truth.

This guys version of reality is hysterical given the printed medium of exchanges. Like all zealots, he'll just keep babbling along.

My personal favorite is when someone pointed out how you can't believe in the Bible if you reject the idea of the talking serpent in the Garden of Eden. So right off the bat, our little preacher is just blowing the bull horn. Classic.

I called a spade a spade, and junior doesn't like it because he/she can't give a rational or logical defense for his/her assertions. Life goes on.

    Correction of my typo:

    I mistakenly wrote:
You said about me , ,
    "this koker"___Kungfuliberal

    I meant to type:

You said about me , ,
    "this joker"___Kungfuliberal
