Why a path to citizenship? As cold as it sounds, they deserve nothing except whatever punishment the law allows. If anything, legal residency but never citizenship.

So, how many more times could the USA Today hack call them "undocumented immigrants"?

I'd say it's "more like" a child who was born and raised in Mexico deciding to enter the US, despite the "hardship",and "knowing nothing about" America.

Have they started work on those concentration camps (detention centers)?

Wait until the riots begin and the left starts burning down their own communities over this. At that time the left will just call them victims instead of illegals.

I'd be fine with legal residency, but not deporting millions of people. That would make for bad, bad economic sense.

Then open borders would make super excellent economic sense!

    indeed

An open border costs us billions. Just as it would to deport millions of people. It makes more sense to keep those here on the tax payer rolls while blocking others attempting to cross the border.

When you reward people who've broken the law, you incentivize people to break the law.

    My thoughts exactly.

I really hope no one considers that as an accomplishment.

Not at all. You can get tough on immigration at the same time taking care of your past failures. Or in this case, Reagan's failure to secure the border as he promised.

Were you unaware that Reagan's immigration reform included securing the border? Our open border is his failure.

P.S. I'm a Reagan fan, but he messed that one up.

It will wipeout uncertainties about what immigrants do we have within the country, it will enforce the notion that aftermath of the crackdown all immigrants left behind are lawfully accepted and should be protected by the constitution. So be it.

    Bad economics for who?

Every year, illegal Mexican immigrants send up to $24 billion from the jobs they illegally take in the US, and send it down to their families.

Deport them, and it's at least $24 billion, and that's to start with.

Well that's not what I was talking about. I was talking about a child brought to America illegally and growing up here, not a child who grew up in a foreign country and decided to come here illegally.

Sweet. Maybe in a few months I will be out of a job when we deport all the construction workers and my work load is cut in half. Don't give me that BS about Americans stepping into those jobs either. There is a labor shortage and they haven't stepped up yet, and they aren't going to start now.

Who raises the kids if parents go to jail? Family or someone will. In this case, the family can always take their kids back with them too. That's what I would do.

Me too. I suppose we're to believe illegals place far more importance in keeping an Anchor Baby in the US,
than they do spending time with their own flesh and blood.

DACA would be the most obvious.

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) is not the law of the land but an unlawful Obama executive order for ICE not to enforce the laws of the land.

Only Congress can decide what the nations immigration laws will be, not a community organizer President or snowflakes or leftist activist or illegal aliens.

But a President can decide who can be denied entrance to the country.

When the Trump administration discovers how many gang members and criminals who were awarded DACA protection under the Obama administration, these future whinny snowflake undocumented Democrats will be rounded up and deported.

Donald Trumps executive order today is nothing but a directive to the DHS and DOJ for federal law enforcement to go back to enforcing the laws that are already are on the books that Congress has already legislated and are the laws of the land today. Trump's Sec. of DHS, Gen. Kelly issued an order to enforce the laws of the land.

Something to do with sovereignty as a nation and being a nation of laws like back when America was still great.
