How much longer...

...do we have to wait for this stupid, dysfunctional forum's glitches to be fixed? Does nobody care-or is the owner too broke to afford a decent technician who knows what he's doing?
Time after time I get error messages, hang-ups etc. It also seems to me that there are far too many useless 'features' which we really don't need, and which I'm convinced are only contributing to the issues. Please do something!

 

Geesh, please don't ask them to take feature away... we're posting on the most plain-vanilla forum on the internet as it is. (compare front pages sometimes)

I've had to log in at least 8 times this morning. What's up with the site kicking us off routinely? Nothing's more frustrating than working on a long post and losing it because you're suddenly not logged in.

I normally don't say anything, but even I am just getting sick and tired of it. I have donated enough of my (*)(*)(*)(*) $ to this site. They are not getting another dime until this site runs smoothly for at least a month straight. So it will probably be never.

 

That's what I said in March... haven't donated again yet. It's a shame, isn't it? So much potential here, but nobody cares enough to make it work right. Too bad.

Forum owner has been in this morning, is still here, to work on those glitches.
It would be great to know exactly what glitch, how and when you are referring to, so we can fix what is broken. Looking for possibilities takes time, and may add to the problem.

With nearly every post you get "Do you reallly want to leave this page..."

Nobody ever responded to suggestions from computer geeks on other threads in this section. Remember the post about some servers being unable to handle this volume?

Technical errors(504 gateway timeout), database errors, and gettin kicked off every couple of posts.

 

Ok, all the input here is linked.
Just make sure to keep it short and precise, for it will help with faster repair, or whatever needs to be done with the whatchamacallit. ( my latest tech term)

 

Now why are we having server too busy messages again?

This site is dying for a multitude of reasons.

 

8:25 am... kicked off the site... database error.

I have to concur with the others. The new format has not helped and things are as bad or worse than ever.

I don't like the new format where it's too easy to lose the reply box in the thread, but I can live with it.

When I post a reply, all too often I get the little Windows "busy" swirling circle, and it can stay there for several minutes while I wait for something to happen. Then I'll either see my post posted twice, or get a debase error or server busy message. And lose my post. This has happened this morning alone probably 6-10 times. It is really frustrating to spend time researching a memo, and then see the "busy" icon and then lose my work several minutes later.

I like this forum but it's getting to the point where it is not worth the bother.

Happened here this morning too. I try to remember to save those posts that take a long time to put together... and usually do, but I had to recreate one twice yesterday because by the time I got ready to post it again... the message came up: YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION... meaning I'd been booted off.

I started posting on another forum so I've got a place to go while I'm waiting for something to open on this forum. You don't realize how slow it is here until you post someplace else at the same time. This forum definitely runs at snails pace.
