    Another thing I see happening frequently that is very annoying is after waiting on the "busy" icon, I'll get a message "Do you want to leave this page". If I click on no, nothing happens. If I click on yes, my message might get posted, it might get lost, it might get double posted, or I might end up in the "advanced editing" screen. Why and when it goes down one of those routes seems competely random.

    Hard to believe it's working great for Ange and it's been worse for me today than it's been in months.

    WTF?

    I've had 'em all today. Kicked off at least 10 times, server too busy, database errors... you name it, I've had it this morning.

    Again... WTF?

    It it is worse today, but this is not a new issue for me. I've been getting these errors forever.

    I've been getting them too, but nothing like today. If they paid 'the man' yesterday, they need to ask for a refund.

    P.S. Ange admitted he was pulling our leg... he's getting the same stuff. :furious:

    i usually see the most trouble but that is because i come during off hours, 11pm - 7 am eastern standard time. however its looking good so far with the recent fixes, thanks

    If you click on the back arrow, your post should return. When that happens, open a new page in PF and locate your previous post. It might already be there and you now have two open pages of PF to work from. The same applies on a post where it hangs. Don't post it again, use the other way to get back and see if it has registered on the server.

    Not too good an explanation, but some might understand the purport thereof.

    Okay no teasing... getting logged off, is not something that I experience. Sometimes slow, and the data base/server message yes, but not completely losing the connection.

    At sign in, I always check the "remember me" box. Not sure if that is the issue, or perhaps it's some difference between the browsers. I use FireFox.

    Yeah, because it usually only happens to me at work... and we have this 'privacy option' that doesn't save our history (nice feature)... it's possible the getting bumped off is related. However, has nothing to do with the database or server messages. Or double posts. Or double posts.

    Nah, none of that matters. I post from my iPhone only and I get all the same errors and disconnects.

    There is something else going on on this site. No other forum I get on has these issues, this is specific to this one only.

    My guess would be a shared server (more affordable, understandably), that simply is overwhelmed by net traffic, from the volume of post/content here in addition to whichever other site/s it is processing/storing.

    Seems your guess is probably right. A dedicated server should carry 85% of a sites volume with no problem. Don't know about the server(s) here but that's the standard. Then you take in the software (V-Bulletin), which isn't the best and you get these problems.
    My first call anyway.
