I'm so petty that if I see a person parked in a fire lane I get more made at them if they drive away before I get a chance to rebuke them than I would if they stayed there longer and gave me the satisfaction of rebuking. I'm a petty rebuker.
I have trouble not correcting posters that I like when they mix up commonly confused words and contractions, like there, their, they're and to, too, two. I feel it reflects on their image and have a really hard time restraining myself.
That bothers me too. I can understand that sometimes people make mistakes, but some people constantly use the wrong form of the word. Do you proof read for a living? I do some proof reading and I think that's why it's a thorn in my side. Lol. - - - Updated - - -
We really need a "funny" button here. A mere thank you is not good enough in some instances. Is that petty?
Grammar Nazi Cat can probably recite the simple rules, too: "Here/There", "Heir/Their", "They're/They are". The felines have always been more fastidious when it comes to grammar...
Doncha just love the word 'rebuke' and its conjugations. 'petty rebuker' - - - Updated - - - I shouldn't really, but . . .
My 'Pettiness' exists in my mind. I am fully aware that the a$$hat in front of me at the fast-food drive thru is just getting his order but.....WTF is TAKING HIM SO LONG??? I wait...of course..While creeping up to his bumper....
I agree doesn't do, though I'm forced to use it, while and are easily misinterpreted I don't correct others because it makes me feel so superior to keep on noticing their mistakes
Yes, you can use emoticons, but at some other forums there are "funny", "informative", etc. ratings. I like that. Sometimes a post is funny and you just want to rate it as funny. You know? We could have a "thanks", "agree", and "funny" option. Maybe even a "disagree" option.
I had a friend who was a high school principal and he was a lousy speller and admitted it. Other than that, sharp as a tack......
not me, ever sense the chemo, my hands and mind do no seem to always operate on the same wave length, I say one thing in my mind and my hands sometimes type something else, like even words like 'now' and 'not', my mind to hand communication seems to fail, then when I quickly re-read it, cause I know what it should say, I miss it
Sounds like your less dominant brain hemisphere is asserting itself. If the dominant one was injured a bit that can happen...and it's not always a bad thing.
