Very interesting. There are so many levels of this and it involves almost all of us one way or the other, it is difficult to keep up with the wide nest of such criminals.

An accountant I once used was in the FBI and got a commendation from the FBI for his role in the capture of James Earl Ray. I saw it on his office wall. He told me that the FBI values accountants since a lot of crimes they deal with involves money and audits, etc.

The FBI is clearly as selective as the IRS when it comes to audits. Outsiders get hit with the Big Stick. Insiders get the wink and a nod.

“After a while, the distinctions between the clans all run together– the journalists, the Democrats, the Republicans, the superlawyers, the superlobbyists, the superstaffers, the supercommittees, the David Gergen's, the Donna Brazile's … they run together like the black tie dinner, or the caricature drawings of notable Washingtonians on the wall at the Palm on Nineteenth Street.” Mark Leibovich, This Town, Penguin Books, 2013, p. 14.

What it claims or spells out is irrelevant because all of it is BS(a lie). Like I said, if something were wrong with Trump, those closest to him, Mattis, Kelly, and Pence would act. They haven't. In fact, they've stated the opposite. Therefore the unnamed source is full of crap. Aside from Hollywooders, the only people I know of who claim that something is definitely wrong with Trump are the queers and communists at CNN and MSNBC. As if those screwballs could think straight or judge rightly with the truth in hand, much less with zero evidence which is their standard fuel.

Oh, how old are you? I got my first job in the 60's.
Its not surprising businesses have absentee policies. At the entry level, turnover has always been ridiculously high. Tardiness and lack of motivation/initiative and all the other issues that come with youth employment haven't gone away.

But I do get how some people will extrapolate their own experiences into generalizing generational attributes. Particularly since it conforms to their ideology, as opposed to informing it.

OOOOH. I bet it took a while to come up that one. 1/10 on the wit scale due to triteness. Keep trying tho. I bet with effort you can get it up to a 3 or maybe 4 with some guidance.

When it's not unreasonable and a judge has issued a search warrant based on a probable cause and supported by sworn statements. Like a FISA warrant or at least what a FISA warrant is supposed to be based on the truthfulness and honesty of the persons seeking it. We now see how easily some in the highest position of the FBI and DOJ were willing to violate that.

Yes. I was specifically referring to FISA court.... a kangaroo court where any government official wanting to spy just has to show up and say pretty please. Very serious violations of the 4th. For every 1000 cases that go before FISA court, 3 of them get rejected. It's a rubber stamp operation, through and through.

Most members here are over 50 with several over 70. I'm 62 myself, but still working. Many of the most frequent (and RW) posters are over 70 and retired.

BTW, given your age and number of posts, I'm guessing you are wise enough to not trust trolls, liars or anyone else who is dishonest in their posting.

Nothing in the above describes a "massive scandal that is being covered up" since this is all well known information available to the public.

Please provide the ACTUAL "classified information" that has been "knowingly and willfully communicated"?

This is just an allegation WITHOUT SUBSTANCE because there is NO "classified information" being reported.

That the US government routinely monitors all overseas phone calls involving US citizens is NOT "classified information".

This looks like Greenwald is just trying to sell another book to the gullible alt right.

    Wrong again!

    https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/30/us/politics/george-papadopoulos-russia.html

If your BLOTUS was not interested in what Papadopoulus was doing then why was HIS campaign "so eager" to have the Trump Tower meeting with the Russians?

Furthermore we have your BLOTUS's own PUBLIC campaign appeal for the Russians to help him find the emails at the SAME TIME that this was going down.

Denial does not alter FACTUAL REALITY!

Seems the Republicans Failed mightily. Most Republican Governors refused to expand Medicaid.

Trump campaigned on Better, cheaper Healthcare for all. Trump Failed on that too

I think it's Mike Pence. How many people even know lodestar is a word let alone use it frequently,

OTOH maybe somebody picked it up from Pence. Who writes Pence's speeches?

LOL! Read again. Greenwald is a leftists. Note that he supported the leakers, and the date of the article 2/17.

“That all of these officials committed major crimes can hardly be disputed. In January, CNN reported that Flynn’s calls with the Russians “were captured by routine U.S. eavesdropping targeting the Russian diplomats.” That means that the contents of those calls were “obtained by the processes of communication intelligence from the communications of [a] foreign government,” which in turn means that anyone who discloses them — or reports them to the public — is guilty of a felony under the statute.”
THE INTERCEPT, The Leakers Who Exposed Gen. Flynn’s Lie Committed Serious — and Wholly Justified — Felonies, By, Glenn Greenwald, February 14 2017.

Disagreed on any General doing it. They'd have enough integrity to resign then sign their name to it.

Kelly is the lead suspect right now, yes

I truly can't understand why anyone would work for Trump in the first place, but having seen what true danger to our country the man is I applaud the courage of anyone to both write this letter and then remain working there. I wonder how many times nuclear war has been averted.

:roflol: All kudos to our military, as always, brave men and women who keep us safe; but high military officers have no more or less integrity than do any other managers in any other industry. And it sounds like this guy may be staying on to save all our asses anyway, that's the really scary part.

    #1 Who wrote this?

Pence? Pure conjecture, Te.... If some anonymous document was floated somewhere here in the forum using the term, "bovine excrement", it would be provoke a knee-jerk reaction, "It was Derideo Te!" Nothing convincing there just because of the use of the word, "lodestar"....

#2 Who benefits the most from writing this? You theorize that the GOP benefits? Doesn't make sense, Te. The whole op-ed is clearly designed to undermine confidence in the Trump administration -- especially as part of a coordinated effort that also involved the release of the Woodward book (also based on 'vaporware'), and the farcical Kavanaugh hearings (starring 'Spartacus' Cory Booker).

#3 Why NOW as opposed to any other time? The Midterms, obviously. We agree on this. The 'axe-fight' between the political factions reaches a fever-pitch. I don't know how any of us will remain sane by the end of October....

#4 Will this make any DIFFERENCE?

You wrote, "Probably not IMO." And we agree again. The deep-seated hatred in both major political factions is baked-into this election. At least half of all Democrats will vote Democrat NO MATTER WHAT. At least half of all Republicans will vote Republican NO MATTER WHAT.

#5 Why invoke the term "the Resistance"?

Oh, it brings up all these glorious, old images of the 'righteous', deeply-oppressed proletariat fighting against the bigoted, White, racist, elite "Machine" that Trump supposedly is the ringleader for. You know, the Big Cheeto, whipping up the "Deplorables" to grind all the 'good' people down. "RESISTANCE" -- Ah, it has the panache and nostalgic flavor of going to an ABBA concert forty years ago, smoking dope, raising one's right fist into the air, and listening to them sing, "Fernando".... Link:

A rather banal but still useful tactic for the ever-present "Useful Idiots". I've watched it being used for many years....

#6 The NYT has been DUPED IMO! Yes, Te, the NYT has been living in a state of hyperliberal delusion for DECADES....

I agree with Max on this. Kelly would have the guts to come forward. I believe he's quietly keeping Trump under control as best he can, but he's not going to tattle.

I couldn't work for Trump.. I feel bad for those who must feel so compromised day to day. I do think McMasters, Matthis, Kelly and Tillerson care deeply about our country.. Pence, not so much.. He's strictly out for Pence and hasn't got an honest bone in his body nor an ounce of integrity.
