    Considering the substantial criticism of IQ testing for measuring intelligence in any meaningful way and they don’t measure for morality and ethics, why? It doen’t take a genius to know right and wrong and many psychopaths and criminals can rank well in such tests.
    I suppose you’d advocate for literacy tests to allow voting in elections as well, eh?

    Nope no literacy tests, but I would say forcing everyone to be able to get at-least 40-50 states on an US map.

    Do you realize there are not 50 states on a continental U.S. map?

    Two of our states are far away from the lower "48."

    Only 40-50? If an American, ready to graduate from high school cannot point to everyone of the 50 states on a map and name the state capital they should not be allowed to graduate much less do things like vote or drive a car.

    I was required to get 80% of them correct in the 8th grade to pass a civics test, I scored 100%.

    I didn't indicate there was a time when every graduate could do that. My point is every high school graduate should be required to have that ability. It is pathetic that a nation could turn out an "educated person", ready for an adult world, who cannot name the states of the nation and their capital cities.

    Obviously, just my opinion.

    I thought it appropriate as that seems to be what Original Poster was indicating wanting to create. I thought my mention of Missoula would give the OP a starting point without having to create the whole city from scratch.
