    This is entirely ignorant idiocy. It seems DeFazio has no clue about pre-funding retirement benefits, which has been a stable of all private and public retirement funds, insurance, and annuities for decades. The difference between public and private funds is that the government can and does steal from its own funds, something it would never allow a corporation to do under penalty of prison. Is DeFazio trying to claim that USPS has to lawfully pre-fund retirements for every working age adult in America??? This is what the post says. If this is what the law says, which is extremely unlikely, then there hypothetically might be a point. If a private retirement fund gets under capitalized the government will force them to catch up and catch up quickly.

    Private retirement funds have to pre-fund their retirement account based on the actuarial life expectancy of their retirees and employees and the promised benefits. If they are ever asked to fund 75 years (whatever that means) it is because they were found under funded and have to catch up, or go bankrupt, and/or go to jail.

    It could well be worse, I suspect he has screwed with the mail in states he's likely to lose. While leaving friendly states, like Florida, relatively unscathed.

    I have seen people using phrases like "only people who hate our country", "unamerican" etc. treason just sums them up very dramatically for my point.
