    If someone kills an abortion doctor. Is it murder? Or is it self defense of another human being?

    Unequivocally murder by any definition. If someone killed an abortion doctor who was putting someone else in imminent danger, that could be justified as self-defense just like it would be regardless of that person's profession. Killing an abortion doctor because they help women end their pregnancies, and then trying to use that as a self-defense argument, is hypocritical and, well, dumb.

    what would the baby killer be doing at the time he/she was killed? If home watching tv then it's murder. If riding the ferris wheel at the carnival, again, murder.

    Since the sick laws of the land in the USA state that Drs can legally kill babies then it would still be murder even if you choked the Dr while he/she was in the process of killing a baby.

    here's the rub, if you shoot and kill a pregnant woman you may be charged with 2 homicides; interesting, isn't it?

    If a person kills the doctor its murder, but if the fetus does it I think it would have a good case for self-defense.

    I am not asking what the laws of the land actually state, but what you personally think. :)


    And I am aware of the 2 homocide thing. I find it an interesting irony to be honest. Not sure how I feel about it.

    It's murder because the only person allowed to determine the outcome of their pregnancy is the woman, not the person who almost certainly did not have the mother's consent to kill her.

    No need to be concerned. :) I am not going to go anywhere near any abortion doctors. In fact, I have had to even use their service once in my life.

    This was brought on from another article I read regarding the laws they want to pass in South Dakota, namley that killing someone in order to protect a fetus would be considered self deffense. THe way the law is worded, it would make it totally legal to kill abortion doctors.

    Sadly, quite a few people spoke up in deffense of this law, and claimed that if someone did kill an abortion doctor because of it, it would be for self deffense.

    Not to play with semantics but you cannot HAVE "self defence" of another human being. You can protect another but self defence is by definition defence of oneself

    If you killed the doctor because he or she was trying to kill you, it would probably be justifiable homicide.

    The fact the attacker is an abortion doctor makes no difference there.

    Your question is inherently flawed. Protecting another person is not "self-defense", because they are not you. Self=you.

    Why would you think that the single cell at conception is "a living human" ?

    I dont generalize to much, but i wonder at how one handles having a job sucking tiny babies out of wombs all day. yes, there are late term abortions folks, not "just clusters of cells" which is weird because that's what I'm made of too!

    and those cells could be cloned to become another person, but my guess is you would not allow those cells to become another living breathing human being, it's your choice

    It would only be self-defense if the kid were able to kill anyone.

    The kid, of course, is completely helpless and innocent and incapable of doing anyone or anything harm, which is why the abortionist is a piece of (*)(*)(*)(*) that belongs in prison forever.
