Treating two racial groups differently? Again that would go right to WHY you are treating the two racial groups differently! If the groups are being treated differently specifically because of RACE that is racism. If you are treating the two groups differently because one group has higher crime stats than the other that too is Racism (because other factors such a poverty effect crime stats). So to answer your claims you must specify for each instantce what you mean by treating each group differently means! If you treat them differently only because of race yes that is racism.

I didn't say that. You see how the bastardized definition of racism is already causing confusion? However, that said I could easily produce stats* (edit see google results for compartive crime stats) that shows that crime is higher in the inner city of any city and most inner cities have a majority of minority in population. Lastly I am not a racist because I do not feel one race is predisposed to crime more than others. If there was scientific evidence that pointed to a specific genetic marker ie scientific evidence I may agree that one race is predisposed more than to the, however that is not the case. So again using a standard everyone can agree that is not subjective according to WebsterÂ’s I am not racist. Perhaps I could be accused of bigotry but not racism* according to the standard defination, ie not a fabricated defination.

I have no idea how many racist are members of this forum. But, unfortunately, I believe with the election of Obama, it has caused more racial divide than I have seen at anytime in the last 20 years. While I thought his election would enforce anti-racism; it seems to have had the opposite effect. He has wasted a real opportunity to bring the Country together by his and the Democratic Black Caucus's portrayal of wealthy americans and non-democratics as being the enemy. I wish I could express my thoughts on this subject better.

I myself have always tried to view all people as equal and I have seen both of my sons embrace all races as their friends. I believe the young are beyond racism and that it is only the "older" Americans that still cling to the concept of "racism". This is the way I see it in my life and perhaps I have just not been in the company of a true racist.

You treat the groups differently because it's an aggregation of how you treat the individuals in those groups. And those individuals are not all the same. Therefore it is a priori impossible that you will treat the groups the same. This is independent of race based decisions.

Now it may be "racism" to treat someone differently because of their race. But is that unjustified? If I am walking in the street at night, and I see a black man walking towards me, a man from a group with a 50 times greater chance of attacking and killing me, is it not reasonable to think differently, irrespective of whether the difference is due to poverty or genetics?

    Is racism not entirely justified?

Well it is hard to answer the question of a black man approaching you in the dark of night. But, I would say as a woman, it doesn't matter the race of the man, I would be afraid if any man was approaching me at night. And, as a white woman I might say that I was in Vegas last year and leaving a "show" and wasn't sure how to get back to my Hotel, I stopped a black man and asked directions but after his explanation was still not sure of how to get back, he offered me a ride as he said he was going past my hotel on his way home. I accepted, he dropped me off without incident. I believe you have to judge people on your own instinct. While some may find I was taking a risk, I did not perceive it that way. IMO it was no different then accepting a ride from a white guy dressed in a suit carrying his packages from purchases he had made. The guy was nice, helpful, polite and seemed sincere his objective to get me back to my hotel safe and sound.

Got a question for you Rev-Al:

If it is proven that the majority of felon crimes are committed by blacks (which it has been) using the proportional percentage of population as a backdrop, then wouldn't it make sense to treat that segment of our population in a more guarded/suspicious/fearful manner up and until they (blacks) get their act together and become a more productive/reasonable/less violent people/race?

    Yeah.

Now lets be honest. Most of the members here are racist prices of crap. You know who you are.

And for whatever reason the mods hide behind thin rule sets of 'free speech' to allow them to get away with it.

But this is why this forum is fascinating. It is like a kkk rally mixed with the BNP with all the american white supremicists.

    And those (*)(*)(*)(*)ing zionists!

btw, I am voting for more racists.

Since this forum will never change the rules. Instead! I want to watch it implode into a racist super nova.

So it will be easy for you to give us examples of this "racism" along with a clear definition of "racism"?

I could. But where is the fun in that.

Must more entertaining to watch the simple minded. Stumbling around in the dark. Trying to blindly stab at a conclusion.

    Carry on.

No you couldn't. Because anytime someone make a point connected, possibly connected or not connected to race, it's far easier to shout "racism" (whatever the hell that is supposed to mean) in an oblique ad hominem attack, than to formulate a logical response.

    Take "affirmative action" for instance.
    Pure racism, right?

I believe the word racist, has been totally marginalized over the past few years, by it's complete and purposeful misuse. I am no longer sure anyone can accurately define it.

Unfortunately it seems, rather than being used accurately, it has evolved as nothing more than a weapon, a tool to wage a personal attack.

Now I have to admit, that is one thing I never thought I would be seeing in here.

Yes, I left it kind of broad when I made the description. But I also thought it was pretty clear. And I see some people trying to play word games, which to me is also quite telling. When somebody has to play games a lot to try and get the definition shifted, they should probably take a look in the mirror, or start to be more honest with themselves.

And yes, if a black man walked up to me in the dark in a park, I would get nervous. That being said, if a white man walked up to me in the dark in a park, I would start to get nervous also. So there is really nothing racial there, it is the situation. To be honest, everybody will treat everybody differently. But the difference when it comes to racism, bigotry, or whatever else you want to call it is how that individual consciously acts, behavaves, and how they think about others.

Now there is nothing wrong with having an affinity to what you may percieve as "your own race", that is simple human nature. Most people have friends of their race, date people of their own race, and hang out with their race. We are programmed that way, and nothing is going to stop that. Way back when the original "Planet Of The Apes" movie was made, cast members noticed something unusual in the food tents when the actors took breaks. Unconsciously the actors would group together when they took their breaks. Chimps hung out with chimps, humans with humans, gorillas with gorillas, and orangutans with orangutans. And it did not even matter what race these actors were, or if they had been friends in real life for many years. SOmething just caused these groups to bind together, all based on how they were percieving each other visually and subconsciously.

But that does not make somebody a racist. But once a person starts to believe their and other races are superior, or that others are inferior, that is an entirely different matter.

Racism is for the simple minded. To explain this, I use a quote rendered from a belief system from one of my favourite americans.

    Hate all humans equally!

But with logic. The blind stabs in the dark have already begun. The logical branch of your semi conclusion is its self illogical.

Now we need one of the free speech believers to flood this topic and forum with that voodoo they do so well. For a practical demostration to the mods lack of passion and the irrelevant rules that some forum members cling to. They cling to, as if it was their dead mother.

    You have explained exactly nothing.

You said the racists on this board were easy to identify. I said you couldn't give examples, nor define racism. Your response is what appears to be meaningless semi-mystical gobbledegook.

btw i turn down teaching positions. I am not doing it online for free. The answer to your muse. Is clearly visable.

There are quite a few racially motivated bigots here on this forum... and they are tolerated... given a huge amount of leeway.. If you are a person denying that there are racist bigots on this forum and they state it in no uncertain terms... look in the mirror .

To tell the truth i come on this forum to attempt to gauge how rightwing extremists think and see what makes them tick...being able to observe racists is just a bonus.

I personally think the concept of race can help explain human behavior and politics. I also believe the evidence indicates racial differences in behavior genetics. I believe the concept of race can be useful in both personal interactions and biomedicine. For this reason I consider myself a "racist", meaning a person who applies the concept of race. In no way do I consider myself a bigot, and I am always prepared to change my views when presented with good evidence.

In fact the constant use of term "bigot" from the "equality" crowd appears to be a form of psychological projection.

The only people who can answer this mess are the mods themselves. And if they ignore their usual quotations of thinly designed rules. They may answer why this forum does give so much leeway to the racists who are clearly visable.

The excuses of 'free speech' is what a child would say. It is time for adult explainations.

You've yet to define "racist", demonstrate who is one, or explain why it's bad to be one.

Anytime you want to do so instead of babbling nonsense feel free.

Since the rules here are so thin. The white supremicists are king.

Ironically they share this space with the zionists. Now how does this work without fireworks. They should be mortal enemies.

Of course, they are my perceptions. But i can only percept what is presented to me on a virtual forum. And since this forum gives free reign to white surpremists and zionists. It is a reasonable view to wonder. How they interact without mass banning.

    Right.
I'm just saying that maybe you have assigned roles/motives to people inaccurately since they don't seem to be meeting your expectations of conflict.
