Definitely just the Tip of the Iceberg in terms of Evangelical Leaders.

I used to wonder why so many of them supported a Proven (Commandment-Breaking) ALDULTERER (like Donald Trump).

Now, I understand. Birds of a Feather, Etc. :smh:

Trump seemed to be rather comfortable in the company of Falwell and his "Poolboy".

    I wonder why?

Just think we had movies called The Searchers, The Seakers now to record the sex life of Evangentitals the phony Christians we will have a biographical film called The Watcher.

So what actress can we suggest should play Fallwell's wife? Too bad Hanoi Jane is too old too decrepit because someone of low morality would have been perfect. Of course I boycott any movie that Hanoi Jane acts in. Sarah Huckabee if she lost 70 -90 pounds may do.

How does some dude that forgot to zip up his fly have anything to do with Trump? You are really reaching here. Is the RNC making you nervous? I'd be too! They covered more policy in 2 hours than the democrats did in FOUR DAYS
This seems like desperation to me, just sayin!

It has NOTHING to do with Trump?

Trump seems to be in the thick of it.

Okay so here's the thing. I really couldn't care less what the sexual activities may be of private persons, adults, able to give their informed consent to whatever fun times they select for themselves. So far as that goes I tend to think the publicly proclaimed great moral standards are a load of crap.

Too many have cheated in a relationship, too many have had periods in their lives when they have experimented or gotten into various sexual adventures outside of that great public moral standard. I see no harm to society as a whole from informed and consenting adults having the sex they desire for the fun they find there, in whatever combinations or degrees of commitment. Informed Consent, Do No Harm, live your life and leave others alone to live theirs'

    Okay then ............

My problem is the hypocrisy. of the thing. The fraud. The lie that served the purpose of a very large scale fraud touching the lives of millions of followers. The man and his wife claim a certain moral standard, based upon scripture. It is actually published in a code of conduct they both swear allegiance to and promote. It is this character they sell of themselves which has been marketed to obtain countless followers and vast wealth.

To me, that hypocrisy is a crime, a fraud perpetrated to the tune of millions of dollars. It is evidence of a crime deserving of prison. It is not enough by itself, but it is a strong addition to a series of other failings from the heavily marketed "character" of the man and his wife.

If not for that fraud, that hypocrisy, her having sex with the pool boy as her husband sits in a corner and watches as a "cuckold" would be kinda' repugnant to me on a personal level, but I'd only be pissed off that someone thought they could spout such private info like that.

Problem is, the accuser has evidence shown to journalists, not yet published, backing up the story. The accuser claims he came to a point in his life where it was no longer informed consent, he wanted out and she and he wanted to continue. Part of getting out is the accuser is in a business deal with the Falwells and asked to be bought out. The accuser claims the Falwells are trying to turn it into attempted blackmail, but the journalists are saying the evidence provided appears to show the accuser is telling the truth.

Well, okay then, we come back around to what appears to be a massive fraud over a long period of time. One that cannot be proven or dis-proven here. Maybe it will end up in court. Maybe there will be an out of court settlement.

The departure from the big ass church and university though, that is a culmination in a series of events that have proven the hypocrisy to a degree believable by them's in charge at those places of business.

I haven't been religious at all for decades. Educated well enough from a certain faith, but recovered long ago. I see these false prophets of high moral fiber for what they are, con artists and charlatans. Many likely believe their own tripe. But they still do damage. They take people's money, they twist people's faith and systems of faith, and they mess about in politics to an excessive and damaging degree.

This Falwell is cooked for now. Sadly, the engine of hypocrisy and falseness remains. The board that pushed him out is made of humans. All of whom who have sworn to the same code of conduct, including specific points on sexuality.

What would you guess is the reality of all the members of the board at the big church and university? Oh sure, good folks, that's not the point. Is there no man or woman among them who has had sex outside of marriage? Cheated on a spouse? Tried at least oral sex one time with a person of their same gender? Experienced an orgy or swinger encounter just once? Certainly not all of them, but some hit somewhere on those notes of being perfectly ordinary humans.

None of which would bother me in the least, I'd hope to never know about any of it.

Except they lie and they sell that lie. They buy people's faith with that lie. They buy it to the tune of millions of dollars.

    That seriously pisses me off.
