A better idea would be to raise state income taxes in overwhelmingly liberal California high enough to give $6000 to the poor and middle class of their state.

This should be an extremely popular idea in California, especially among the rich liberals. Let's see how well it works.

I for one will not cry like a baby like all the GOP has done ever since Comey cleared H Clinton or whine about imaginary Deep State conspiracies. I will respect Mueller and his team's decision. Will you accept it if it exposes Trump as a crook?

    Thanks.

On a serious note, I would like to see the most populous, wealthy, and liberal state in the Union try out some of the ideas they want the rest of us to adopt.

There is nothing to stop them. The Dems have super majorities in the state legislature and a Democratic governor.

If California could stop having to subsidize the Red states, there would be plenty of money to allow money to raise money to the middle and poor citizens.

Of course, if Trump and the Republicans hadn't screwed over the California, NY state and some others where Republicans stole the tax deductions of the responsible states, we would could also do that kind of support.

Its amazing the Trumpies and Republicans suggest to do whatever we already had worked on until Trump screwed us over.

So if only the Republicans would let Californians deduct their state income taxes from their taxable income for federal income taxes, then Californians would raise their state income taxes enough to give every poor and middle class household in the state $6000. Have I got that right?

California can't even keep the feces and heroin needles off the street.

Wealth disparity is higher here, than anywhere else in the country.

Step in the right direction would be to accommodate all illegal immigrants and pay for them from their own budget. It wouldn"t take long for Californians to turn against illegal immigrants.Once you start paying for things from your own pocket, the perspective changes. It's easy to be generous with somrone else's money.

Thats not how it works. They demonstrate their virtue by picking other peoples wallets.

    That works for them.

That's true. We have a huge economy and I would like to see some cost effective programs instated to bring down health care costs and build our infrastructure back to world class stature. Here in the Golden State, all things are possible. We have always led the way to the future. Cheers

Free money is cancer to a community, it's virtually Santa Claus. Government should never play the role of the jolly old fellow.

The pandering by Democrats is insane.

Because it isn't about "giving" anything to anyone.

It is about creating a market of "you work hard, you see results" which in turn stimulates the economy through competition.

    It's unbelievable isn't it.

The guy you are responding to (or girl) LITERALLY didn't even bring up the OP once, not one time.

The meme is hitting Progressives REALLY hard, any forum you bring it up on they absolutely freak out. It is sticking really fast and the fact that such people as you quoted above continue to act so is really, really funny.

God, I hope Kamala wins the Democratic nomination in 2020. Her values are not America’s values.

Trump borrowed the money and gave it to the rich.
Why do I think those under $75k might work harder.

She came from my state to infest the Senate. She wants your money so she gets to hand it to her favorite group. Sad but true. Will it happen? An empty promise. She can't cash that phony check.

Let's round up all the pigs and feed them at one time. Never mind if there is cash to pay them with.

And I'm just better that there will be no citizenship verification in these payout plans.

    What’s yours?
Also educational attainment - just seeing if the statistics are correct.
