Same. Moby shifted music a bit with his debut album. I still listen to it today .. it's very good. But man-oh-man the guy is a YUGE TOSSER. Absolutely gag-making.

Maybe. But who cares what his reasons are, or who he supports (politically). The point is that he's condemned for thinking independently, because he's black. Even being told by House N's not to 'talk out of turn'. It's deeply disturbing stuff.

The left is intolerant of different opinions generally. Ask Steven Pinker how accepting they are of white dissent.

I do agree that they feel he's Uncle Tomming them, a profoundly racist notion. I think the optics of this dramatically help Republicans. All those inner city Democrats who see a Republican about as often as a New Hanpshireite sees a Hispanic, they've now got at least one person they like who disagrees with them.

Could be earth shattering for those who care what musicians think for some reason.

Who is saying that it is?

Pretty sure our dim friend, Kanye, meant that REMAINING enslaved, after the shackles are removed, is a choice.

Doesn't matter who he is, or what he does, or how bad his music is. The fact that he has a public profile, and has openly declared his escape from servitude (to the ideological masters), is problematic for the cause.

Again though, it's a far bigger deal than just the Trump factor. Trump is merely the Soup du Jour at the moment of his escape.

Pretty sure you didn't read the quote.

He said 400 years of slavery -- a choice.

Cripes almighty. Why is it some cons can't be bothered to at least do the slightest bit of learning about something before they make goofball remarks?

Try telling that to the families of the unarmed black males as young as 12 being gun down by nervous cops at a drop of a hat.

With Trump stating that black football players should be fired for daring to protect such happenings.

Oh I read it. I disregarded the idiocy of the 400 years - it was beside the point.

He's able to step off the plantation because only he realizes that slavery is a choice.

His notion that slavery has been in situ for 400 years? Yes, we said that already.

Blacks commit alot of crime, we get it. You don't have to keep rubbing it in their face.

Yes and they begin at age 12 by daring to play in a park with a toy gun.

I can remember running around my whole town with toy guns in my hand but then I am not black and in fact there was no blacks in my town so no child got gun down by the police for the crime of playing with toy guns.

An of course we have the case of a black man daring to drive his car while being black with his wife and kids and when he was pull over for a minor problem he made the error of informing the cop that he was a license conceal carry permit holder and the cop got nerve enough to kill him in front of both his wife and children.

Odds as a child I had play with toy guns and as an adult I had driven with real guns but I never was gun down at either stage of my life so far at least.

Footnote as a teenager I also would sometime carry a hunting bow with razor sharp arrow tips that was powerful enough to bring down a deer or a man for that matter in and around my hometown with no problem with the cops or anyone else.

Kanye West and any other man or woman of any race, religion, etc etc is as free to have their own thoughts and speak their mind as the next person. But just like the next person, when they say something stupid as Kanye has, other folks who also have their own thoughts and speak their own mind are going to call them out on it.

People have elevated the idea that just because one person has had a thought and voiced it that everyone else must praise them for doing it and not criticize that thought. That's not how human beings work.

But, anything to throw in the plantation reference I suppose. I bet that's fun.

An my skin is as white as white can be due to my English and Viking blood.

Skin cancer is a risk but that is balance out by not likely being gun down by some nerve cop.

I never hear Indians complaining about police brutality. They are just as dark as blacks. They probably act normal when pulled over just like you and me.

Of course a middle age and middle class black man with his wife and kids along is going to not act normal to the point that he is killed in front of them.

An somehow I question if a 12 years old black male is going to act any difference then I did at that age when playing with a toy gun.

Have you ever seen a 12 year old black male? They're usually pretty ****ing big. And many are already doing drugs and in gangs by that time.

    You sound very naive.
