Bit hard under the current circumstances

I knew Labor supporters where closet Americans. LOL

We will be fine for the present, but for reasons I have stated above, we are fast moving to a nations totally reliant on Government handouts to survive. With people totally reliant and business becoming the same, where will the money come from? Visionary? if you can not answer that question, no you really are blind to the future.

    Just some figures I found

Imagine, 3 identical vehicles, one petrol, one diesel, one lpg, all travel 30000ks a year, all get 11.5 litres per 100K

    Fuel Litres Carbon (CO2)
    Petrol 3420 8.76t
    Diesel 3420 9.927t
    LPG 3420 5.896t

Maybe if they paid us for the saving in CO2 then LPG would be very cheap

    Hey Vigilante

Here is what that other monumental liar Penny Wong had to say about a carbon tax ETS when she was in opposition.

Where you defending labor's stance not to introduce a carbon tax back then.

And if you were what has made you change your mind.

Politicians are liars that fact that you belive in them so much makes me think you are gullible or naive.

    Hey Dom

LPG is a by product from the process of petrol and diesel they dont actually have to distil to get it.

Therefore is should be dirt cheap, all they have to do is collect and package it.

Your link didn't show anything. Anyway, maybe she was able to reassess due to further findings. She's pretty adamant about it now!

I have always supported action on climate change, but when faced with a direct action plan or an ETS, there was always only one option. I was supportive of the Howard government introducing the scheme. Obviously Turnbull was offering bipartisan support until Abbott the sleaze had his way.

I have never supported a carbon tax or ETS no matter which government was in.

Why because it does nothing for our environment and makes the elite even richer.

Evidence look up the European Emissions Trading Scheme, a scheme that we'll be joining after 3 years of a carbon tax.

The only way to fix our pollution problem in the REAL world is at grass roots level.

That is the government makes it compulsory for the big polluters to swicth to cleaner coal or natural gas by a certain date, could 5 or 10 years.

The governent also helps them to do so, it may cost Australia a few billion dollars that will be piad once for some real results.

So cleaner coal or natural gas going in at the front end and the latest technology in

    1. Fabric filter bags
    2. Electrostatic precipitators
    3. Scrubbers
    4. Carbon sequestration

Capturing / filtering emissions at the back end.

The only way to clean up our own back yard is at grass roots level not on some $2 trillion dollar a year emissions trading stock exchange.

We will still be paying dumb, either way. Your system looks to be basically the same as the direct action plan, but with more stringent rules that would ensure prices sky rocket due to the demand on business to fork out finances to innovate, along with a load of money coming from the public purse. We would be smashed from all angles. The carbon price was a recommendation by the EU ETS to provide stability prior to an ETS. The EU ETS is having teething problems but are looking at ways to make targets achievable through employing further processes to ensure this. Time will tell what they can do. We'll apparently be introducing a floor price, which will ensure that pressure is still applied to reach our reduction targets. The problem with the EU model is that they obviously didn't have this in place. In some places carbon permits are trading at $100AUS.

Now we are really talking KGB tactics, and you honestly do not think the costs would be passed on, you live in a dream then. And what about places like the amazon, our great carbon sinks, what does your plan do for them, or do we let unscrupulous profiteers rape them.

Have you thought of anything other then it may save you money? which it won't by the way.
