Bankers thought of global warming first they thought of global cooling and a new ice age then when that didn't eventuate they changed it to global warming and then when that started to wane they changed their tune to climate change.

ofcourse they have filtered down billions of dollars so others on their paylist can chirp the doomsday prophecy of global warming.

Unfotunately you guys (ziggy and TV) have fallen for the scam, but i think you two just wantto clean up pollution more than anything or if your on their pay roll well then go to hell.

Why is it so hard to believe when if you go back into history you will see that bankers have had a hand in all modern day wars.

They are responsible for the US federal reserve passing into their hands, they are responsible for creating booms and busts to buy out entire nations for pennies on the dollar.

Why dont you do alittle research and you will find the truth.

BTW gents trading carbon credits on wall street will not reduce CO2 emissions not only that but trading carbon credits on wall street will not reduce any othe forms of pollution either.

It also paves the way for the bankers to buy up land our land here in Australia and all over the world.

They are already buying up good arable land in third world countries putting their farmers out to pasture.

Do you also want them to own all the land, if your against the chinnese and japanesse buying up all our land why not the bankers under the pretence that they wil farm carbon credits from these aquisitions.

So while i might sympathize with your good intentions, you really have to see past this guilty conscious state of mind that bankers have endowed you with.

If you really do want to make a difference then i cant see how you can go pass grass roots level.

That is the government legislates that all poerstation boilers must be upgraded to cleaner coal or even gas fired at the front end were the heat goes in.

At the back end where the soot comes out the government could legislate that these private corporations that
own our powerstations SHALL use the latest technology in

1. Fabric Filter bags
2. Electrostatic precipitators
3. Scrubbers
4. Carbon Sequestration

This grass roots level action could yield results thats real results in just 10 years.

Ziggy you yourself said that if we simply converted to gas fired boiler we would reduce our CO2 emissions by 25%.

Honestly gentlemen how can you expect to clean up our CO2 emissions by trading carbon credits on wall street, please be realistic.

Now hazelwood powerstation and some others are going to recieve between $3 to $5 billion dollars pre-tax profit monies from the carbon tax.

Where is the incentive to switch to green power here.

Not only that but they are still going to put their prices up by 20%.

In any other arena you would call that a fleecing, double dipping etc etc.

Why is it ok for the carbon tax????

Especially when it wont make any difference to the amount of CO2 we send up into the atmosphere.

I think you'll find that most have taken their bat & ball and gone home on this. It is rediculous. People have discussed politics on here and vented their anger at the political system and both sides of government, but you two seem to hang on to this silly conspiracy to simply get a leg up on your argument. You can not trust anything from the web unless it is an official website, even then obviously things can be dodgy.
