if you are a terrible reporter, I have no problem with it being pointed out.

In Chicago "Try not to suck" was always a good message that Joe Madden put out, reporters should try it.

Remember when FDR went before the nation and calmed fears and motivated the population after Pearl Harbor?

Remember when Trump went before the nation, blamed everyone else for the problem and people panicked and ran
out and bought toilet paper and the stock market crashed?

    Fun days.

Cut Trump some slack, he's been the victim of the Russia collusion delusion and shampeachment, all fostered by the corrupt media. He certainly isn't responding as Biden does when questioned by voters.

Poor little rich kid Trump. Everyone is picking on him.

Hell, every President has had rough times with the Press. Clinton was impeached. Reagan had to deal with Iran-Contra.
Carter had to deal with the Iran hostage thing. Bush had 9/11 and two wars. Obama had to deal with a recession and two wars. Trump's just Mr. Victim.

I preached in favor of conservative economic policies and a balanced budget amendment for 40 years. I told libs they were destroying the future for our kids and grandkids by growing social programs and entitlements. I told them they were being greedy and selfish. They told me to shove it up my ass.

    I don’t care anymore.

The 2008 bailout is a Republican program. Your revisionism of history is noted.

The reality, the one you won't see on Breitbart or on the Fox News, is that despite the fact that three times a Democratic President has inherited a recession (Clinton, Obama and Biden next November), they always bequeathed to his successor a growing economy with a balanced budget.

Then your arguments to justify Trump's abyssal debt are BS.

Entitlements are killing us, not bailouts. Medicare and Medicaid are a disaster.

The difference is the media didn’t work every day and in every broadcast to destroy Obama. They do that with Trump.

Poor little rich kid, Trump. I think you forget that the largest News Organization (Fox) went after Obama every single day.

We all love Fox. But they’re a very, very small part of the media.

Since Wednesday, Trump hasn't done too badly yet. In the initial shock, people tend to rally around the President. Then, when it becomes the new normal, they stop and think. I'll be curious to see what Trump's numbers are a month from now. I'll be really curious to see what they are two months from now.

If we can somehow induce this mini-depression without completely wrecking the economy, and we're actually in a position to see light at the end of the tunnel by this Fall, then Trump will get a lot of credit. We've never tried anything like this, and we're taking a big risk right now. The economy can come completely unstuck a thousand different ways. I bet the economic landscape in November will be trillions spent on stimulus, trillions in lost revenue, a depressed market, and government with a sizable equity stake in major companies. And that may look great in a month's time, when things get really hairy. We're going to be in economic freefall for awhile.

Economics is only one thing. If there's 100,000 dead Americans, and still no vaccine, and flare-ups of this are happening periodically, and it's clear to everyone the government completely blew it in the initial stages, then Trump is toast. "If you want a test you can get a test" will become his "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor".

And yet, Trump remains very unpopular.

Even with this flare up, we're still short of that by some 80,000 Americans. I'm not as confident, not because of Trump but because of the incompetent govenor in New York. It was clear by the 7th-8th of March that New York was an outbreak spot. CLEARLY. The jackass governor just sits there.

So when he says "everyone stay home", dude, TWO WEEKS too late.

We could've just halted NY/Cali/Washington two weeks ago, and saved the whole country this ****.

The economy will have a difficult time staying intact if this follows the "bend the curve" over a long time approach. The next step here will be a lockdown like the one in China.

Trump failed. He blew the testing, so New York has been unable to track ill people. He hasn't been willing to force higher production of protective equipment for health care providers, or employees in retail stores, nor has he been willing to force shutdowns.

Literally the other day Pence said it's all available. And even if they couldn't track ill people, we were getting real time statistics starting what, March 4th? As early as March 7, I noticed a trend. You have to be trained economically to look at these things. Cali/Washington/NY are the three biggest States. If we had shut those 3, it's likely the spread would've been mitigated.

Like I have said elsewhere at PF, since his initial stumble -and it was a bad one- when he tried to crowd work, improv, and charm his way through a situation that required discipline and communication, I think that Trump has done what most any normal, half way decent president would do. His socialist/democrat approach to the problem has been what is needed right now. Let's see if he goes that one step further and mandates responses from the individual states. A solid B- so far.
Of course he then goes ahead and really tries to throw away any good will he is collecting from people like me (i have said that other than his initial eff up, I was on board with his response) by taking a question that was no tougher than what they would ask of a beauty pageant contestant and disgraces himself. Could have gone with a "we have nothing to fear but fear itself" or " we are all going to fight together" but instead went back into his devisive **** that turns people against each other. Last thing we need right now. Pathetic.

The same racist "New Deal" that created ghettos and isolated blacks? That "New Deal"? Yeah, it worked alright. It got the blacks back on the plantation where the Democrats thought they belonged. "A little history lesson, free of charge."

Are you blaming the Trump administration for this? What do you expect him to say, the US is going to solve this by nuking Wuhan?

FDR got elected in the middle of a Great Depression.

Americans realize the economic issues today aren’t because of trumps policies. They know he created the strongest economy in the history of the United States and what’s going on now is simply because of the Chinese virus, and they recognize the President is handling this like a champ

The New Deal didn’t work. It expanded the depression. We didn’t get out of it until we entered WW2 and the Govt started buying products from private industry

and no trump has not indebted the country like his predecessors. The percentage of debt added under his watch isn’t even close to what Obama did. Moreover he continues to try to cut spending, something we haven’t seen in quite awhile

Well just make sure y’all all show up and vote next November, stay home and enjoy time with family this November :0

I for one am happy to not have to see or hear that hag HRC all over the place right now if she had won. That would be just horrific to go thru!

If this is still going on in Nov then Trump wins four more years

If this end well by Nov then Trump wins four more years

If this ends badly by Nov then Trump will not win four more years

What “ends well” means is very open to debate. But the media is selling a lot of doom and gloom so anything less than that prediction will be a “ending well” scenario.

Repeating a lie over and over again won't make it true.

The vast majority of the debt that was added under Obama comes from the Bush Bailout of November 2008
